Title: Is there a customs table at the show?
Post by: canprime on August 01, 2012, 08:27:07 PM
Just wondering if there would be one this year.

Good question. There wasn't one last year.

2008 by far was the best showing of Customs at the custom section.

2009, it was pathetic.
2010 - hardly any.
2011 - Why bother if no one is bringing any?

2012 - I can devote a couple of tables to custom displays - with a barrier around them to ensure no one touches them.
But I would need to know IMMEDIATELY how many figures/vehicles, etc people would be bringing.

I can bring all my customs, including my custom based on someone else's awesome Shiver custom  ::) ! (looking @ you Neo!)

I take it again that it won't matter if they're modern era or o-ring.

You should still bring your first Shiver custom. Personally, I think it's my favorite.

Cool, I'll bring 2 large and 2 small vehicles, and maybe 2 figures.

When I say large 1 is moray size and the other mauler size.

Ok, if this is happening, then a few items of note need to be addressed:

The CJC is not responsible for your items. YOU are responsible for them.
We will provide a location for the toys to be showcased, and a barrier-bars surrounding it.

If we find any custom item inappropriate, or unacceptable to be displayed, for ANY reason, then we will remove them.
Contact us to get your custom item back that day.

Will will not provide nameplates or signage for your customs. If you want names and such shown with them - supply them on your own.

I think that about covers it.

I know you said maybe but if it does happen, who are the judges? Hasbro? Guests? Convention goers?

If I'm the proud owner of a great piece, but not made by me.... is it ok? Or I should be the creator?

It should obviously be made by you, not someone else, and no chrome items since that technically has nothing to do with someone "making" a custom.
