General Joe Talk / Re: Anyone getting Doc?
« on: June 19, 2008, 02:02:26 PM »
Well, I have my stuff ready to drop into the mail - It'll be sent to someone I work with that lives in the States.  In 6-8 weeks I should have one!

On another note - if anyone has any extra, let me know.  I may be interested in it, if this falls through.  I'm pretty pessimistic and wouldn't mind having a fall-back option.  I've always liked Doc...

I have some Carded figures that I'm willing to part with for a trade or other offer.  I'll make it a list and update it as I go along.  If there are any that you're interested in, let me know  :)

Aw man I wish the Walmart here would restock Wave 7 I didn't even see that wave here yet someone cleaned it out and they havn't restocked it yet at the walmart near me. The other walmart in the area doesn't look like they ever had any figures no pegs.  Any chance soneone might be able to snag up some of the wave 7 for me the ones that still have the silver border? Seems like it might be the only way to get them as Ottawa seems to be a lot further down the supply chain. : (

I hear ya.  My two supply points are Cornwall and Ottawa...  both seem to have Wave 8.  I Once got a butterfly knife Snake Eyes there, but I think that was a lucky break.  If you find any Wave 7s, let me know!  In the meantime, I'm army-building my Vipers and Python Troops while I can

Also, sorry for the double-post but I thought this was interesting:  Toysrus.ca almost completely sold out of their stocked 25th anniversary GI Joes since I placed my order on Saturday.  Monday morning, they were "Temporarily Unavailable Online" and today, removed from the site completely.  There's only the odd one up there, now.  That could be a good sign...

I was lucky enough to find the HISS Driver in the States with the JUMP Duke...  are they part of the same wave in the Canadian release, or do they miss-match them, here?

I go into Massena, NY once and a while, but the most they have there is a KB Toys...  to get any of the really good shops, I'd have to go into Vermont or to Albany.

It's not worth it, just for a few figures - so much easier to buy online.  But I'm very old-school store-front type of person, so I wish I didn't have to.  If filling out some surveys helps get us the good stuff from Hasbro, then so be it!

I'm a Creative Writer for a trio of Radio Stations.  Writing commercials, sometimes producing and lending my voice to the odd one, too.  It's fun and keeps me busy.

On the side, I write and draw a hobby comic online, among other things.

The Tiger Force Flint, Baroness, Arctic Snake Eyes wave...  not sure what one that is...  8, I think.  And a slew being that they filled up a peg and a half, so there's two or three of each out with a few more on the top shelf.

The Zellers near my place is exactly the same - a pair of comic packs and no restocking.   The place is a mess, I wouldn't be surprised if the employees don't even bother anymore.  Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll have to do inventory soon.

These actually look pretty cool...  I see a lot of them in the Ottawa area, for anyone interested.  I might even have to pick up one or two, myself!

Are you looking for loose or carded figures?

Ideally, carded - but because I usually open them anyway, loose is cool.

I should also add that currently, I won't be able to buy any spares off anyone...  Come the end of August, I should be ready to.  The most I can offer is to see if I can find any to trade.  I'll try to update this with a trade list soon!

**alrighty, I updated my first post to include a list of tradeables.  Let me know if there are any you're looking for, anyone**
