You know. I've seen the title of this thread since the day it was posted and just now I mistakenly thought it said "Timbits" - not "Tidbits". LOL.

I must be craving some!

I'd like to see Firefly and Wild Weasel.

Since Hasbro wanted GI Joe to be more of a world team instead of its orginial ARAH theme.  I wonder which other Joes will get a "do-over" and have a different nationality?

Good question. I personally made Flint british since he lead Action Force for a time, and made Law French because of his last name.

I found this on the web, some interesting info about GI Joe 2:

Zombieland/G.I. Joe Writers Discuss Sequels & Deadpool Movie

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick reveal more details on their upcoming action packed films.
The DenofGeek website managed to have an interview with the Zombieland writers as their Blu-ray and DVD formats id release in the UK.

From DenofGeek: What can we expect from Zombieland 2?

Paul: "There are a couple of things you can expect. One, we will hopefully have all our cast back – everyone’s excited to return. We will also introduce new characters; it will be in 3D..."

Rhett: "It will be a bigger budget so there’ll be more grand zombie killing. In every way it’ll be bigger. The cast will be bigger, the action scenes will be bigger and, hopefully, with 3D you will be looking down to make sure that’s not blood on top of your popcorn."

People who haven't gotten the chance to watch Zombieland should purchase the DVD when it releases in the U.S. It is the perfect zombie related film I have ever seen.

Personally, I am getting frustrated with the overuse of 3D technology nowadays or in the near future. However, if the directors and writers of a film want to utilize 3D and have confidence in its glamor, it is fine by me. Zombieland 2 with blood and corpses flying all over the theater seems a little too much for me though these guys have gained my respect ever since I saw the first film.

DenofGeek: What’s it like writing a movie specifically for 3D?

RR: "We hear a lot of people say, ‘Oh no, we’re not going to write to the 3D, we’re just going to make a great a great story because we don’t want the 3D to affect the story’ or ‘Ee don’t want it to be too gimmicky.’ We couldn’t disagree more. We really want to write to 3D, we’ll be having things fly at camera, we’ll be using the gimmicks, because why not? The new 3D is such a high quality, it’s going to provide us with opportunities that filmmakers haven’t had until recently and why not take advantage of those?"

PW: "They say that 3D and good character and story are mutually exclusive, you can’t have both, and once you start writing for 3D you lose your drive and you’re paying more attention to what’s coming at you rather than the characters and story. We think you can do both, and do both great."

The release date may be next year, but judging by the uncertainty the writers express by their next quote, it may be another 3 years till we see the sequel.

DenofGeeks: Are you looking at a 2011 release date for the movie?

PW: "We’re just not sure. The studio’s excited to make it, we’re excited to write it and direct it and the actors seem excited to act in it. When that comes together we’re just not sure, but assume it’ll be in the next year or two or three."

Now onto Deadpool and the G.I Joe sequel.

DenofGeek: You are now going to be very busy for the foreseeable future. As well as Zombieland 2, you have signed on for the Deadpool movie and the GI Joe sequel. How are both of those projects developing?

PW: "They’re going great. We’re excited about them for different reasons. Deadpool is just an irreverent, kick-ass, self-deprecating character and they say ‘write what you know’, so... minus the kick-ass! We’ve been developing that with Ryan Reynolds, who’ll play the character of Deadpool. It’s been great."

"And GI Joe is such a fun, fun, fun playground for us. It doesn’t get any bigger than GI Joe. Rhett made his first movie when he was, what, nine?"

RR: "I was 11 or 12."

PW: "It was a GI Joe movie made with stop motion characters, with little action figurines. We were up in Rhode Island where Hasbro is headquartered. It’s such an inspired world and one where excited to play in."

RH: "Unfortunately, we’re not allowed to talk about what the movies about, but just know that we have a deep affection for GI Joe, and that we’ll bring our absolute best to it and hope that that’s good enough."

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick seem optimistic in developing the Deadpool and G.I Joe 2 stories. Fortunately, they practically adore the G.I Joe concept, what G.I fan wouldn't. This is a great head start for the G.I Joe franchise since it is under control by worthy writers rather than a director who failed to make a successful Mummy franchise. Deadpool will most likely film after Ryan is done forming constructs with his galactic ring. Rhett and Paul should focus on Deadpool first since it is a done deal for Ryan Reynolds while G.I may not star the same cast except Duke.

The problem here is all the info of GI Joe 2 is all speculation now.  The writers are doing Dead Pool first before they write the movie.  Don't get me wrong I love the rumors, I will be posting them here as I find them.  Until we see the trailers anything can happen.   Plus the new characters in the movie must be Major Blood and Tomax and Xamot.   ;D

Jennifer Garner would make a great Lady Jaye!  But who would be her Flint? Please say no to Ben Affleck!

General Hawk: Technically, G.I. Joe does not exist, but if it did, it\'d be comprised of the top men and women from the top military units in the world, the alpha dog\'s. When all else fails, we don\'t.
