25th anniversary accessories compatibility
« on: April 02, 2008, 09:57:46 PM »

I have resisted so far to the 25th series... for those who opened their figs, are the 25th accessories compatible with older joes? Some accessories look way bigger.

For the 25th Cobra Air Trooper jet pack: would it fit a 1983 Cobra soldier?

No, different peg size.

The 25th series have their backpack peg bigger or smaller?

So, I imagine this is easy to fix with some putty adhesive (like Holdit) inside the screw hole of the older joes and to insert the smaller backpack peg in that putty.

Do you have another way (except using glue...)?

I would masking wrap tape around the peg.  That should be enough for a good fit into the screw hole.  No need for other messy alternatives.

What Pete said. Another idea is that tacky stuff I use to hold up posters with. It sort of looks like chewing gum. Don't recall it's real name.

I think the 25th backpacks are pegged higher up on the back.  Might look weird on the mid-back pegged originals.

Yeah, that was what I was talking about with my "putty adhesive"... I still have some left (but pretty dry now), the brand name I have is called "Holdit".

Thanks!
