General Joe Talk / Comic or cartoon
« on: February 26, 2004, 01:06:04 PM »
I also made my joes in to superheroes when they were not doing Joe battles. Ie blowtorch, was IRON MAN, i used 3 chopped toothpicks per hand with tape to make removable claws (wolverine) with Crystal Ball (just b/c his hair reminded me of wolverine haha)  I would replay the secret wars in my own version. I had other figures i used too, i had all the alpha flight characters, fantastic four etc....all created from my joes based on their colors etc. Loads of fun.

When i was into WWF, i would make my joes WWF guys as well.  Just pretend you had a ring, and make them duke it out.

but when not having WARS with weapons, my favorite thing to do with my joes was to sit on the top carpeted steps in my house, and have a big punch up with them.  Of course your favorites usually lasted to near the end, the toughest guys lasted longer as did the ninjas.  They would punch, kick, etc , whatever moves i could think of. They would jump off one step onto joes on another step.  I would have all these fights going on, it was a real blast.

Its sad to say, but if i had the time and money to just do whatever, i would continue to do those things from my childhood. Still got a ton of Kid inside me

Items Wanted / 82/83 Series
« on: February 25, 2004, 03:03:59 PM »
Yup, title states it all. I am looking to buy all the figures in the series for this year. Probably an unrealistic want, but if someone is willing to part with this or has extras of all these figures then pls LMK. I have no problem paying a decent price for quality stuff.

I have only seen one such set on EStayaway which is selling right now. However the seller isn't the most helpfull with descriptions or pictures....

trmclellan@shaw.ca is my email!

General Joe Talk / Does anyone use the 'view new posts link'?

i have all the major stations programmed in here in Vancouver. However being a big sports guy, i like 1040 alot.

Musically, if you listen to much of anything on the radio that is a major station, your listening to POP. Hip hop pop, country pop, alternative pop, etc.....

really good music comes underground before big labels, fame, and editing your music 1000 times to make it perfect ruin your ORIGIONAL sound.

General Joe Talk / Comic or cartoon

The comic probably influenced the way i played with my joes, but in my battles so many of the joes and cobras died each time, that really, it was just a slugfest.

It would take me hours to set up my battles and just mere mins to destroy most everyone!

I am a 84/85 guy. Probably lean towards 84.  Stormy, firefly, Zartan, NUFF said. These three characters to me provided alot of punch
