Arriving in Hamilton - When?
« on: March 19, 2007, 10:09:37 PM »

So when's everybody getting in for the Meet? I'll be leaving early friday morning (I've settled on driving up.) and should ideally get in around early afternoon. Anybody wanna meet up & hang out? VL, what time are you getting in?

I split this off to it's own topic since it didn't make much sense where it was. ;-)
But this is a good idea - why not post where you guys are all staying.
I'm making NO plans the night before the meet - as I may be 'stressing' over getting things ready.

But the rest of you should meet up and do something - at the very least try to get in touch with people.

I'll probably arrive early afternoon on Friday. I just hope to avoid QEW traffic this year.

For anyone who is driving and isn't familiar with Toronto traffic it starts around 2:30 on Fridays. Scramble and I got caught in it last year and out 1hour from Toronto to Hamilton turned in to 3.

Actually, you should be fine coming in from the Niagara Falls area to Hamilton.  It's Toronto to Hamilton that is a problem in the afternoon.

Hurray. I have to go to Markham for the next days of Lenovo training. Course is suppose to be done at 4:00 each day. I was hoping since it wasn't 5:00 I might avoid the bulk of traffic jams. Boooo!!!

4 = you are so screwed on Highway 401.  Will the company pay for the 407 bill though?

We are coming in from Niagra Falls and will probably be arriving around 4 or 5.

We are staying at The Airport Inn. Where is everyone else staying?

Yes, but remember I'm coming back to Kitchener. 407 only goes so far for me. Still, might get off the 401 to the 407 and get off at Warden. Going to 3600 Steeles. Then reverse that for the way home. I'm still probably screwed no matter what I do.

Not sure where I'll be staying just yet. Somewhere nearby I hope. Hey Mike, what's the closest hotel to the meet? Walking distance preferably.
