Ken, the super Wal-Mart on the south end of Oshawa had wave 9.  This were I saw the Ninja ku Storm Shadow late Friday around 9:30 PM after getting back from Halifax.  I checked today to see if they have re-stocked and found nothing.  But I don't suspect the other two Wal-Marts in Oshawa and Whitby to have received them yet.  The Whitby one still has a couple of wave 8 packs left (Bludd and Flint).

I just checked out my Walmart - nothing.  They had a few boxes for stockers later in the day, but none marked for GI Joe (I had to look).

If they're on US Cards, then it's possible they won't show up in my area.  I live in a VERY bilingual part of Ontario, right next door to Quebec - so, if they're not marked in French, they might not show up here for a while.

Just my theory here but these American cards were probably ordered by a select few Wal*Marts (maybe to test the waters? if so - how much more damn testing do they need!?!).

Based on the cards that were left on the peg the first time I looked on Friday I can definitely say my Wal*Mart only got two cases in of wave 9 on American cards.

But they've also carried the generic Canadian cards for wave 7 & 8 (with much success as well) so I'm expecting (hoping!) that the generic Canadian carded versions of wave 9 will flood the shelves soon.

Somehow I really dont see BAT or Snow Serpent peg warming the way the CG and Viper have for these past few months.

Going to try to check Wal*Mart every day on the way home from work - hear THAT other Joe-collectors in Markham!!?  I just feel concious that those Wal*Mart employees are seeing me every day make a bee-line to the toy aisle.

Walmart is getting the brunt of the first allocation of this stuff (the US carded).

Wave 9 on Canadian cards will be available in early to mid august, and should be carried by all the regulars.

And who's getting the rest of the first batch?

welp guys I've wasted more gas than I'd like to think this week - so happy I filled up at 124 last night.

Absolutely no luck anywhere near me.  Every single wal*mart has a single repacked Wild Bill dangling on the shelf taunting me.  I pick it up and look at the back of the card only to reminise over Bazooka, Hawk, Barbecue, Snow Serpent and the rest...

One employee was kind enough to actually search on the computer for more stock (the rest of them just dismissed me with "that's all we have on the shelf") and it showed that they had 8 more coming.

So I asked if it was 8 cases or 8 items - he said items - so that's 1 case coming.  He said within the week but I'm not holding my breath.

Since getting back into this hobby in 2000 I've never toy hunted to this extend mainly because Canada usually got jack-sqwat for product.  Now it's really rough on the car tank that's for sure.

I went to a couple of wal-marts every day for about a week, and gave up yesturday.
I happened to be near on today, stopped in and bam - one case of wave 9.  Bought the entire case including Wild Bill and Torpedo.

I haven't seen any :(

I've been checking Walmart religiously before work, but nothing.  They DID put out a case of Wave 7, however - Made my day, because I could finally finish my collection in that wave.
