I've been asking for a Viper 6-pack since I got back in the hobby in spring 2005.
This is great news! I'll probably buy like three of those!

I'm looking forward to this one.  It seemed there was an absence of comic packs.  Does this spell the end?

Apparently the 2 new 6 packs and the wave 4 figures are the only new things for 2006. 2007 is the 25th anniversary and it sounds like they are planning something for that.

The wave 4 comic packs were the Lady Jaye/Officers and Oktober Guard packs released earlier this year.

I'm very happy that there isn't too much stuff being released this year, and even happier that the stuff that IS being released is GOOD.

I plan on picking up just about every figure from the set this year (except Cobra Officer - ugh)

WTG Hasbro!

Hasbro covered that in the Round Table. They saw how crazy sales were on the blue shirts and regreted they couldn't resupply fast enough to fill the need. This being DTC, they have much better control over that.

A few things to note: Those are replicas of the vintage thighs, but it's still the BAT feet, and modified BAT waist (it has the ribbing on the side, but still no ass). Plus, one of the Steel Brigade is based on the winner of the Maxim "become a GI Joe figure" from last year.

That's dusty hayes from the joecustoms board. Nice guy, great dioist.

I am limiting myself to 4 of the viper pit packs. Alongside the 3 original vipers (who will become troop sgts) that will give me 3 groups of 9. I am actually vibrating at the idea of having the right number of basic troops.

I still have to pick up the comic packs, but other than the viper pit packs, there's nothing else that I feel like I'm missing out on - so I don't feel too bad about going a little nuts on the viper pit packs.
