General Joe Talk / What is your favorite introduction of a New Joe or Cobra?

Over the years G.I. Joe and Cobra have come out with lots of new characters. Since G.I. Joe has always been in other media (tv, movies, comics, commercials, etc.) they have needed to introduce those characters.

So I was wondering what is your favorite introduction of a new character?

Is is Duke and Roadblock helping out the Joes in issue #22? Is is Golobulus explaining the origin of Cobra-La and Cobra Commander? Is it Agent Helix being introduced in the G.I. Joe Comic Special or her being introduced in the Rise of Cobra video game?

Personally one of my favorite introductions is Sgt. Slaughter's debut in the cartoon. The B.A.T.S. were attacking the Joes and Sarge came speeding in on the Triple T and General Hawk yelling "back up has arrived and it's Sgt. Slaughter!"

Ontario / Michael's Craft Store calender sale: 75¢ for G.I. Joe & Licenced products

Michaels The Craft store has on sale until Oct 1 licenced calenders.

My wife picked up a couple 2011 G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra for 75¢. When she told me the price I thought it was for a 2010 calender but it is for a 2011 calender. They had a bunch of ROC calenders, also Spider-Man, Superman, Batman, etc....

Great deal for those calenders and thought we would just pass on the word.

Ontario / Rise of Cobra @ Liquidation World

My local Liquidation World (Barrie) has Rise of Cobra figures and vehicles for sale.

Figures are $5.88/ea. They had Crimson Neo Vipers, General Hawk, Night Adder, Nano Viper, Charbroil, Flash, Cover Girl, Deep Six, Eels, and of course Neo Viper, Destro and Baroness.

They had Sky Sweeper, Street Snarler, Mantis Sub and Snake Trax. These were $14.88 ea.

This is a good chance to pick up some troop builders. I picked up a couple more Crimson Neo Vipers.

Introductions / Hello Joe Canucks

I have just joined the Joe Canuck forum and I really like what I see.

I have been at Can Joe Con 2009 and Can Joe Con 2010. Can't wait for 2011.

I have been playing with G.I. Joe since my cousin got his first figure in 1983 (Gung Ho). I got my very first figure in 1984 (Recondo) and I have been collecting ever since. My cousin and I used to collect together. We would look at the card backs and figure out which figure we were going to get every year. After 25 years I was finally able to convince him to give me his collection and it is on display in my basement with my collection.

I love all things G.I. Joe. I don't care if it is ARAH, Joe vs Cobra, VvV, ROC or POC. I even have some 12" stuff kicking around as well.

I look forward to reading the forums and getting to know some people.
