Score one for Canadian collectors
« on: May 13, 2009, 06:55:19 PM »

I don't know if it was intentional on Hasbro's part to release the MARS movie preview three pack to Walmart Canada when they did,  but after reading the latest GIJoe Collectors Club newsletter---it states that the MARS set is an online only exclusive and wont be available until June.  They even boast that will be a full month before the other figures hit the shelves.
Meanwhile, our Walmarts have had the figures stocked since late March.

Bonus!  and about time we get something first.

Wow, that makes absolutely no sense what so ever.  If you are releasing a "preview" set, why would you make it online only?

General Hawk: Technically, G.I. Joe does not exist, but if it did, it\'d be comprised of the top men and women from the top military units in the world, the alpha dog\'s. When all else fails, we don\'t.

So...   these aren't available in the States at all, right now?  And will only be an exclusive when they are?

How much are they selling for on eBay?  An enterprising individual could use this opportunity to make a few bucks.

Dollar for dollar, $25 for 3 figures is still a better value than $9.99 each.

And if you can start to find them at $19.99, better still.

Don't bother.  I've seen a few auctions for these, and they aren't selling for cost even.  The interest isn't there right now, but if they show up in the movie, then I can see them maybe be wanted.
