What a bummer.
While I haven't been there as regularly as I used to, I always enjoyed my time there.
The team has always been great to chat with.

Reviews Section / Ninja Duel Snake Eyes
« on: June 06, 2012, 05:57:24 PM »
The upcoming Snake Eyes from the second wave of Retaliation figures.

This figure looks a lot like the SE we saw in the various trailers.

He looks more armored and his uniform looks more form fitting than the SE from the first wave.

This new mask feels and looks more like a tight helmet than a balaclava and visor combo.

The various paint apps on the figure are pretty cool. Some nice glossy black highlights on a matte figure. Of course he sports the Arashikage logo on his arm.

The belt is pretty neat. It has a holster for a pistol and a sheath for a knife. It has some nice sculpted pouches on the back as well.

This Snake Eyes travels light, but has a nice little assortment of weapons and the same zip line gimmick as the red ninja's

The backpack is a little big, but it simulates that old Snake might carry more than we think.

The sword sheath can be removed from the backpack and be used on it's own.

Action shot!

This new figure sports all the cool new articulations that the other Retaliation SEs have like the ball hinged wrists and rocking ankles.

Along side Wave 1 SE

I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this one as I was really looking forward to it since we saw some pictures from Toy Fair.
It's a fun figure that has cool details without carrying a lot of stuff around.
The helmet and armor almost makes the figure look like a Snake Eyes from the future.

I might prefer the baggier pants from the Wave 1 figure, but this new SE is my favorite of the line.

« on: February 04, 2011, 10:04:36 AM »
Hello folks,
I'm looking for:
2x comic pack Flash in the astronaut suit and helmet.
A few 1982/83 Flash, Breaker, Clutch and RnR. I only need the heads, but I can buy the figures as well.

Thanks

General Joe Talk / Adventure Team and RAH
« on: December 14, 2010, 10:43:11 AM »
I'm sure it was probably discussed before, but who else thought that the original RAH Joes look like members of the Adventure Team? I mean the same beard sporting head sculpts in different colors?
Breaker = Land Adventurer
Clutch = Team Commander
RnR = Air Adventurer
Flash = Man of Action
Hawk = Astronaut
Stalker = England's Tom Stone
Anyone out there made a custom AT using these guys?

General Joe Talk / 12" Adventure Team Ninja
« on: August 28, 2010, 02:40:33 PM »
Might not be your cup of tea, but I put a modified vintage head post on a Dragon body to create a super articulated GI Joe with a classic face.

The perfect Adventure Team spy, the perfect acrobat.... a ninja with an icy blue gaze.

Almost looks like it was made that way.

Good old question that pops once in a while.
Since 1982 Hasbro made a whole bunch of GIJoe action figures.
Some were hot and some were not.
To this day, which one is your favorite?

I got a few AF figures and A-Team figures so I decided to have some fun.

The SAS

Z-Force Captain and Radio operator

I think that the radio operator really looks like the vintage GI Joe.

SAS Commander sneaks behind a Viper

SAS Commando

SAS Leader

The A-Team

Quebec / Star Wars and Marvel Heroes for $6.97 at TRU
« on: May 31, 2010, 08:41:34 AM »
Went to TRU Anjou and was surprised to find the latest wave of Clone Wars figures.
The figures are $6.97 so are all MU and the latest Iron Man figures. Of course no Iron Monger anywhere.

Joe-wise, there's no sale and barely any figure to speak of.

The True Heroes toys are at 30% which might help grow your motorpool.
