Sounds good. Other than the fact that there will be a newborn child in my home for the first time, I have nothing else planned. I would suggest the latter half of the month, as it's less likely to be complicated by labor.

Inside is better than outside. People bring stuff to these things, and I'd hate to see it rain on our parade.

On figures. I was thinking that we could all do customs, shoot Loop's dio, and do a draw for the lot. Everyone that puts one in the pot gets a shot at taking them all away.

LBC's allowed, and if you forget, Mike has a parts bin. For everyone that feels like they can't do it, you're a headswap away from doing a custom. I'll even bring my screwdriver. Catch is that you also have to name it.

That's cheap, and gives us all a reason to put something together. (And some pictures to post to the board...)

Ok...

So we've 'sorta' decided on this:

It wil be held indoors.
There will be a 'Group Dio-Story'.
People 'should' bring a Custom figure (or make one the day of)
I will bring Pepperettes.
Damed will bring Timbits. :shifty:!

If it's on a Sunday, I won't be able to attend.

Well, I'm in whenever it comes up.  August works well for me, too.  First week of August would be even better - holidays and all - but whenever really.  On site custom anything would be an excellent idea but lets not forget about the Joe Wrestling!

Should we need any vehicles from the store for the dio-story, that's easy enough.

Well then, our Dio should take place on the USS Flagg. In fact, it should involve Keel Haul driving the Flagg into the side of a Terrordrome.

I should make a rule that all mods MUST attend or they lose 'Mod Status'.!

I still rather have a meet geared as an annual event.  If too many events are done within a calender year, people will lose interest in coming. Just keep that in mind.

We will. We'll just have the event annually every September  :D

If Zedcon is having a part deux, so should we  :timbits:

i agree with pete the greek we should make the meet an yearly event not a sim annual event. what about having it in a legion hall or at a amusment park like bigemans park. just my option

I've been thinking this over for awhile now (hence my 'non-posting' as of late).

I've decided on (possibly) a few things.

1. It will be in Hamilton.*
2. It 'may' be on a Sunday. (See if you can make it Ed!)
3. I may 'allow' a 'dealers room' type of thing..... where you could buy items from folks that set up.
4. A Trading room - TRADES only. (no money to be exchanged).
5. Food for everyone (not just  :timbits: and Pepperettes)
6. G.I. Joe 'Rasslin will be back.*
7. There may be an admission price this time if all the above does take place.*
(Under $5.00 I assume).
8. There will be door prizes.
9. Possible 'custom project' and/or 'group dio'.

Then again...... we may just do what we did last time - play it by ear!

Any thoughts?

September does seem like a good choice for alot of folks. Besides, February had snow... and cold..... and I don't like those very much.
:-)
Mike

Things with a * next to them are almost a 100% guarantee. The admission price would be to help out with the location it's held in.
