Title: Charbroil

Hey,

This is the first time I tried my hand at painting. I didn't like Charbroil's gun so I worked on that and the tanks, too. Not much, but it was a lot of fun. What paint do you all prefer for these figures?

Cheers,
Ian

Most people use acrylic.  Brand varies, though tamia seems to be the most popular.  Nice job btw, I wish hasbro would multi color their weapons more.

Thanks. I used Testors Enamel and it didn't give me the coverage I was hoping for. I'll definitely look into acrylics.

Cheers,

Enamels can sometimes react with Joe plastic and when they do they never cure & will stay sticky.  I use Testors Model Masters Acrylics bc that's all I can find around here.  The main keys to a successful paint job are washing the figure/accessories good with a gritty soap to rough up the surface & using a good primer.

Nice work BTW.

More great advice. Thanks so much.  :)  I'll have to pick up another Charbroil and use the right stuff next time.

Cheers,

Nice work, I always want to get into customs, just no time... Maybe one day!  Keep it up!
