Man, a thumbs down for me. Just like the old ARAH sculpts, the new sculps are getting the lazy bastard treatment.  Hasbro is going the cheap to make the DTC figures with existing molds.  At least Jesus..I mean Monkey Wrench looks decent.

I don't mind them, the SAW viper looks pretty good - the Cobra Trooper's head/helmet is strange looking.

I will however be picking these up for sure!  and hopefully from the best toy store ever!!!!!!!

My review...from what I can see anyways.

Lowlight does not look to bad...can he holster his gun? I hate it when I see this!! A figure with a gun like the sniper rifle needs a side arm. He can not hold it as he needs both hands for the rifle?so then give him a holster! At least the rifle looks good?not a chance Lowlight can lay down and shoot with that neck?squatting all they way again with the snipers.

Saw Viper looks great. I hope he has a mask on underneath that helmet?I like cobra troops being generic so a mask is a must! I love the S.A.W. gun?great accessory!!! But what the heck is the use of the V1 S.A.W. Viper backpack??? They should have something different with spare ammo boxes?and no side arm for the S.A.W.???

Cobra Soldier I like him enough to get 5. The helmet does ?fin? out a little but I still like it! I like the machine gun but the heavies can go. Also I have seen this on many wave one guys?he has a hole on his hip? I have seen many holes on weapons as well?what are they for? I am sure the V1 of this body had something hanging there?but the weapons?

Med Alert?he is a medic?so what else can you say? Never liked that hard-drive arm thing?his helmet looks goofy?but all the meds look goofy since doc!

Grand Slam?orange on the legs please?he looks funny without them?and nice yellow grenades!!!! That?s as bad as Mutts gold dog bones!!! Funny gun?where does it plug into? He also looks younger than V1?is he?

Monkey Wrench?since when is he the bad ass of the Dreds? He looks great. What?s with the toilet paper on his arms? Nice knife?good guns?but a Dred is signified by his original weapon?I would have liked a harpoon?even as a side arm! At least the jeans are still there?I liked the blue jeans on the four it was a subtle hint of a unit?not much but it was there!

Grand Slam has a weak ass facial hair.  The genades look like they come off.  And that is a good thing.

I agree that Monkeywrench needs his original or similar look type of gun.  Not shotguns.

Grand Slam looks like he spilled soup all over his face. Med-Alert looks neat. I really want to like that S.A.W. Viper, but I'm having trouble. I'll probably get most of these guys because they haven't been done in new sculpt form. Definitely passing on the Cobra Trooper though.

Now that I see the yellow grenades are a removable belt, I dig grand slam. Can't say I'm a huge fan of the 5 o'clock shadow, but a nice homage nonetheless.

The Collectors Club already has wave 3 stuff in stock.  Just saw it on their web site.  It's sad that GI joe HQ still doesn't have its wave 2 stuff.  I'm holding out for BHT for my wave 3 (sorry Curtis).

The way the HQ orders are held up I still think someone has it in for the HQ. Maybe it's because they have the pre-orders posted so early or  maybe another reason but there is no way Curt should have to wait so long for his stock to come in. This is nothing against Curt at all. I shop with him all the time and think he's a good guy. I just think there is some politics going on here.

Example, Master Collectors are always first to get the new stuff (besides Hasbro Direct) then the other vendors get their stuff a few weeks later, like smalljoes, the their is the HQ, seems like at least a month behind.
