Hey guys,
Remember the previous years how we were asking questions about the set, trying to figure what the set would be? I asked Mike and he was ready to play that game again!!
So, until we get the team is ready to show pictures of this year set, we can ask question about the set... so let's pay and have fun!

What is this year theme (if any?) for the set (Marine, Winter, Air, etc.)?

Really? Ok, here we go!!! : How much is The Mike willing to take from anonymous fellow sponsors for the convention team to give us an updated "Black Ice"? 8) Seriously that is a question within a question.
EDIT: Arctic again would make my day. I see in my crystal ball that there will be at least a vehicle in the near future ::)

Just keep in mind the basic rules for this. I'm not going to follow up any questions I've already answered with a spin-off question from my answer, nor will I answer certain things.... If I don't answer a question, it's because I can't answer it at that time for a multitude of reasons. Also - I'm answering ONE question per day.

No real theme.... I mean, we ARE in Canada, so snow might play a factor in the comic, but there's no "theme", like that.

Yes, the 2009 convention set is really sturdy and makes for an excellent shoe box (this is what my wife told me to answer since I'm speechless)

The "PLAN" is to have stands for each figure.
TIME PERMITTING.
There's still much to do for this years set. But the plan is to have stands, yes.

Strangely, I've never owned an Awe Striker.....
I think it and the terrordrome are the only pre 88 vehicles I've never owned. Weird pair.

Not if I have anything to say about it. It was considered earlier this year when a bunch of Storm Shadow figures were offered to me. But another figure was picked instead.
Also. White AWE Striker would be pretty badass.

Good call on the ninja. I like ninjas and have a custom set of ME NF figures, but don't feel we really need anymore....especially after the movie.
Some other hand - to - hand combat specialist could be cool though, but Takedown sort of fills that role anyway, even if he is just meant to be an instructor. He is probably my favorite from the last 3 years.

Since Mike mentioned he is running low on questions, here's a couple of more to throw into the ring.
1. Are all the characters in this year's set Canadian?
2. Are there any characters who might be on "lone" from the Joes / Cobra or another country (e.g. like Big Ben with SAS) ?
3. Any characters who are from a branch outside of the Army? Any characters from the Navy, Air Force or Marines?

Due to a HUGE increase in costs for parts, original head castings (to be shown later), etc, plan on a cost of $180 this year for the set (Canadian). We guarantee it'll be worth it, and honestly wish we could do it cheaper. In truth, we should be pricing it higher.

Considering how basic figures nowadays go for $10 at retail (in the U.S.), I am sure the price increase is completely justifiable and compared to the amount of work being put into the set, it will still be considered a bargain. Thanks for the heads up!

With the Convention about a month away now, and figure reveals every Monday and Wednsday from his point on, I think this years question thread is done.
Sone questions will be answered when items are revealed, which is why I havn't answered some by now. (Like what is in the set exactly).

I see your point, but that was fun. And, even if you tell us how many figs/vehicles are in the set, we will still have fun seeing each of them when revealed. But I can see this taking a lot of your time when the con is only 1 month away. So thanks for the entertainment we got. It was really fun. Can't wait to see more.

Since the 2011 Comic didn't feature any of those characters in an "Order Of Battle" layout, we plan on adding them into the 2012 Comic, along with this years characters.
I can confirm that we don't have enough room in the comic, and the added costs are too much to include the 2011 characters into the Order Of Battle pages this year. We are going to look at this again in the future. The con set is just costing much more than we planned this year, we can't warrant the added costs.
