Off Topic / Re: Star Wars @ Winners

I missed getting $20 Force FX lightsabers at Winners? *Head Explodes!*

I personally would be mega interested in the Target exclusives. I need the Tiger Rattler and the Python X-30 plus the blue Rattler which always sells out first online (most popular). I also need the green Target AWE Striker. I would maybe be willing to get extra of the other exclusives but only if they weren't too over-priced. (Fat chance at a con, eh?)  I already painstakingly got the rest from working the Google on the internet machine, but I paid a lot more than I would have if I didn't have to pay shipping and could have walked into a Target. If anyone has the Target MOBAT set it would probably sell because no one wants to pay to have it shipped from the US. (Rattlers are large too, so shipping for them is like 20-30 bucks.) We also need other lines too. Marvel Super Heroes Universe and Wolverine the Movie are made by Hasbro and have the same level of articulation as Joes. (I like having yellow and Blue Wolvie take on Cobra guards at the Hellfire Club sometimes, myself.) We have a lot of the Wolverine normal figs here at Walmart but we never get any of the chase figures here. We need the Toys R Us exclusive Wolverine and Sabertooth with motorcycle. We didn't get human version Deadpool, flaming Human Torch or Bullseye. We are really short on the new waves of Marvel Universe. (Hulk, Moon Knight and Green Goblin.) We also are dreadfully short on Transformers Universe Starscream, Cyclonus and any of the Masterpiece line including the Starscream from Walmart which we also didn't get. We didn't get the HALO Spartan store exclusives either and I bet they would move. Also the US card backs have individual artwork which ours doesn't so they might be popular too. In Canada, we didn't ever get any of the normal vehicle waves after the HISS tank and Serpentor. So uh, yeah... *Taps finger on desk in annoyance at HASBRO..* I would bring stuff like this. Do you guys think there will be any UK Action Force stuff there?

Looks great! So will these all come in baggies? I guess card backs and bubbles would be a bit complicated for a convention. If there are no boxes for the vehicles I might have to get into photoshop and make my own!  :cobra:

Introductions / Hello from London Terrordrome!
« on: April 14, 2009, 03:01:46 AM »
Hey there, I am new to the site but I have been collecting Joes for a long time! When I was a kid in the 70s my older brother had a big box of 12" inch Joes including the helicopter and the six wheeled tomb raiding vehicle. I especially liked Bullet Head and Steve Austin! My parents decided to give them away one day because my brother (7 years older than me) knew I really liked them and he was being a jerk so he told my folks that he didn't want them anymore. 30 years later and I am still hooked on Joes. I was still young enough to enjoy Real American Hero the original 13 and season 2 and the first 50 comics but after the movie I started to lose interest. I didn't like Cobra La (their battle cry is uber-lame) and the way they had strayed away from the original characters too much. At least Hasbro seems to heave learned from that with Optimus Primes and Duke now always being used in new shows. (After Sgt. Savage they must have learned that lesson for real.) I now have a massive collection, but I still never could replace my 'Rosebud' the 12" ones I used to have. (Even if I could afford to buy them now the elastics inside are all disintegrated, so I would need repros, which would have the same design flaw eventually.) Oh well, nice to meet some other people with the same problem I have! Yo Joe!

« on: April 14, 2009, 02:47:27 AM »
Hey thanks a lot for the Joe cards! I am missing numbers 2, 6 and 8 so if anybody wants to trade I have extras of the rest! There are some great perks to the Canadian Joe team!

Yearly CanJoeCon Discussion / Re: CanJoe Con vs. Free Comic Day

Maybe one or two of the dealers who own comic stores might bring some copies of the Free Comic Day GI Joe comic from this year.

Is that including sales tax? With tax $125 would be $142.
