I saw the movie on Saturday. It was bad. I won't get into how bad is was as that would take way too long to write up all the negatives. The only positive thing about the movie was the clone trooper commander Rex was fleshed out pretty well.

Is it even enjoyable for children?

Is it comparable to the Cartoon Series?
'Cause I loved the cartoon series. I'm not expecting a lot from this one, though... it seems to just be the Marketing Machine and less the Movie

Put it this way, I went with the 12 year old nephew who is a HUGE Star Wars fan. He wasn't falling asleep but when I said "Man, Zero the Hutt makes Jar Jar look cool" he laughed and agreed with me.
The little bit of plot was almost insulting to the intelligence of the average view IMO. The problem with this movie is some of the characters are so over the top and cheesy that they would only appeal to small children, but on the other hand there is all the violence of guys getting shot and light saber fights that I wouldn't want a small child watching that. If I had to guess the target age of this movie I would say it's too violent for anyone under the agree of 8 but to goofy for anyone over maybe 10. So there ya go, if you are between 8 - 10 years of age you might this film. I'm 36, so I was bored out of my tree.

I think that the thing here was the series is strictly geared towards kids. My kids liked it, my friends kids liked it. Just maybe not every kid. I agree that Zerro was annoying and clitched.
I found the story a little plodding myself (it was definitely no Avatar). However, I believe that the more kid-orientated series is a necessary step for the brand.
