I've been given two DVDs with a combined total of 1:52 minutes of footage from the day.
So, time permitting I will again make a music recap of the day.
But I want some suggestions from you on what to use.
Obviously the music will all be copyrighted that you guys suggest, and youtube will no doubt remove it if a complaint comes in. But I can always host it here at JoeCanuck like I did last year as well. (Last years vid: http://www.joecanuck.com/miva/merchant. ... _Code=CJM8 (http://www.joecanuck.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=CJM8) )
So, post your suggestions - an no one be mean about someone else's choice in music!

Dancing in a Danceclub?
-
Trust me, I have checked all Northern Pikes songs for any that would be fitting for the Convention - but most of the songs don't fit - and "Dancing in a Dance Club", while addicting as it is - doesn't quite measure up.
Sure, the line "Here we all are, waiting for a ticket, to see all our heroes" is fitting... but the follow up "But me, I'd rather be dancing, dancing in a dance club" gives the impression that the Convention sucked and you would rather be elsewhere - thus, not a good enough song for this. ;-)
(Meanwhile, 99% of the people on this site have no clue what we're talking about).

Just don't use ACDC, the video I made got taken down and I wasn't even notified :o
...that reminds me, I KNOW I have the original working copy somewhere and can have the music blanked... hell just finding the vid of Larry Hama using my sword would be cool enough :)
For the current project - maybe something with some CanCon in it? Or hell, try and pick out some songs that have "Joe" in the title ;)

Here are a couple of sites that I like for background music:
http://www.freeplaymusic.com/ (http://http://www.freeplaymusic.com/)
http://www.podcastthemes.com/ (http://http://www.podcastthemes.com/)
No lyrics, but you can get the genre and length that you like. And they are free to use without permission (although credit is usually expected).

it would be good if we can get a view of the footage or stills that way it might job our musical memories and we can see what we can imagine it going with. But my choices without seeing it would be Our Lady peace - Waited and Smashing Pumpkins - Today
-
Our Lady Peace.... crap. I didn't even think of their library of music.

I have their song "Whatever" in my quicklist - I know who it was written for and that's besides the fact that I like to hear it from time to time. ;)
-
I Mother Earth - Shortcut to Moncton
-
The opening of "Hot for teacher" by Van Halen is catchy and fast paced enough.
-
Please no Han Valen or any classic rock.

Actually, I heard "Good Time - Trooper" today and thought it would be fitting.
...and it's classic, and Canadian. ;-)
-
I know how time-consuming video editing is. But how about put out
2 or 3 videos ? Or how about using the extra footage for video promotion for upcoming shows.

I went to here some stuff from this site and I think you'll find something very appropriate. http://www.freeplaymusic.com/search/cat ... 1202 (http://www.freeplaymusic.com/search/category_search.php?t=v&i=1202 ) This is what I found. Check out Eagle Strike and Tank Combat.

Hey thanks for the links guys, I totally did not know about the FreePlayMusic site and that playlist until it was posted here, I am in particular liking the tracks called "Cold Kill" as well as "Force Combat". The Track "Face to Face" almost sounds like how a battle between Storm Shadow and Snake-Eyes would/should be scored with in the upcoming film.

There is a video?
