Joe Meet Preregistration
« on: February 11, 2008, 09:28:38 PM »

Hey, did anyone else get an error message after trying to pre-register?
I tried twice and got the same error both times.  It showed me an invoice, but listed the following error at the very top of the screen, which made me think it didn't work...

Runtime error in /miva/4.16/modules/ui/oui.mvc @ [0000012a:00000424]: Line 8455: MvSMTP: 5.7.1 <myemail>... Relaying denied. IP name possibly forged [69.27.103.188]

Perhaps someone knows what that means?  Should I try again or did it work anyway?  (as of five hours later I haven't gotten an email invoice or anything).  I don't want to mess up the 'head count'....

No. That's not. It states it on the page not to do that. I'll refund your payment then and cancel your pre-reg.

As for the error - what @email addys do you guys have?

As long as you select "2008 Joe Meet" for "shipping", and "Toy Show Payment" for your "payment" (and have a valid email addy), you shouldn't have any problem pre-registering.

I've tested it twice with two different email addys - both times it went through.

LMK if anyone has any other problems please.

I should have used pdtimmermans@sympatico.ca (but I may have autofilled my work one).

No dice (I'm 99% sure that's what I did last time too).  Same message, but the error message appears on top of the invoice, so it kind of conflicts with itself.  Still no confirmation email/invoice in my mailbox.
Perhaps I should try a different computer, if it's an IP address thing? Total shot-in-the-dark thing.

Everything should be 100% fixed now. There was a problem with the hosting company, that has been repaired.

Made the same selections and this time no error message above the invoice.  I guess that did the trick!    :)
Thanks Mike - I hope that was more of a help than it was a pain!

(will update if I get a confirmation email)
I did in fact recieve confirmation!
Hooray!  Thanks again.
