Quebec / New Collector's Toy Store in Montreal opened Since October 1st!

Hey everyone,

I just discovered this neat place called TOY WARS. It's located in Montreal, along the Decarie Highway and it's been opened since October first. The adress is 5535 blvd Decarie, near corner Dupuis.

There's lots of gijoe 25th anniversary figures, carded and loose. I saw many hard to spot like Snowjob, Lady Jaye, and even a San Diego Cobra Commander on Podium exclusive!!! It was just too much for me. And his prices were good for the most part, expecially on hard to find figures.

The owner's name is Steve and he's very cool too. So check it out if you're passing by!

Hey, who can tell me how I can make my very own BLACK ICE figure ? I already have all the parts, I just need to know about the step by step paintjob... because yes, I'm no expert when it comes to customized but I surely would love to do a good job on this guy.

I was at my Zellers in Cote-Des-Neiges this weekend of june 1st and spotted 3 25A Gi joe 2packs over there. I can only remember the Scarlett & Hawk comic book 2-pack. You'll excuse me for not remebering the rest of the assortments but I don't collect this 25A stuff unlike some of you do.

Quebec / 80's-90's Gijoes at Toycon Montreal Sunday May 4rth

Hi Everyone!

I foresee that there will be 80's and 90's gijoe toys in this sundays' Toycon event in Montreal, Qc... How do I know? Because I will be selling some. Not only is there gijoes, but a wide selection of dealers that carry heavy loads of transformers, Star Wars, Lego, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, DC Direct, 80's vintage, anime and manga dvds and pvc figures, the list can go on...

To check out the May 4rth Toy Con information, probably Montreal's best organized and biggest Toy event that I know to date, paste this link on your URL search bar:

Also the Quebec Lego club called Qu?Lug will be there to exhibit their lego works, and also the Con will feature the Canadian Garrison of the 501st Legion, one of the premiere costuming organizations in the world. Apparently there will be people dressed up as Darth Vader, Queen amidala and even... Predator!!! And we are even encouraged to bring our cameras to take pictures with them.

Lastly, admission fee is only 3$ for general, and free for all kids under 5.

So look for the 80's and 90's joes and you will find me. and the name is Lurego.

Yearly CanJoeCon Discussion / Table at the MEET for those that want to make their own... Snowbank???

Hey I actually thought of something clever...

I know that we have a speedpainting contest table... in the same spirit but not competitive:

Could we have a special table set-up for people who actually could not get their hands on Snowbank and would like to leave the Meet with an alternative nice souvenir? I mean, the people that really wanted to get their hands on Snowbank, can actually make their own or revisit his actual look ( kind of quickly, and then perfect it during freetime ), and we can probably create a filecard especially designed for the activity ( in black and white probably ) that has the same bio info written by Larry Hama and an empty space where the customizer can actually fill in his or her name, it would read like this:

''I made mine at JoeMeet 2008 : Raoul Sanchez" That is not my real name btw, jarjar.

Wouldnt it be neat to have it later on sign by Larry Hama? I mean our signature next to his, wow! I mean this would make the ultimate souvenir of the Meet, and a great moment to remember... and better yet: that you can't resell ( unless maybe I'm missing a loophole in this whole idea ). Anyhow, I think it's not a bad idea but maybe I'm not totally aware how it could impact the Meet.
