WTF Sigma six 2.5" figures and vehicules???
« on: February 10, 2006, 08:16:49 AM »

Anyone knows more about this?

I just got the news in the bbts.com newsletter:

SIGMA 6 - 2.5" FIGURES:  Hasbro has miniturized these figures and added a
cool 'mission in every box' theme to the Sigma 6 lineup.  A variety of
smaller scale vehicles have also been added, including a nod to the great
vehicles of the 80's like the HISS, Firebat, and VAMP.  We have 17
different 2.5" Sigma 6 preorders listed including a variety of Basic
Mission Sets, Deluxe Mission Sets with vehicles, Vehicle Sets, and the
Dragonhawk Deluxe Vehicle - a large item.

What the... I mean why not 3 3/4 scale so the will actualy fit with our joes?! Who the heck is doing the marketing research for them???

2.5" ... wont it be in scale with MASK toys?

I am actually struggling with how I feel about this. I guess I have to wait for the toys to figure it out for sure.

somebody on YOJOE.com mentionned that at that scale, they might be unarticulated miniature like they did for SW...

Lets hope not!

On bbts, the various listed set seem to have interesting theme... hope toyfare 2006 will give us some nice pictures...

here's a letter I just got from bbts :

Hi Everyone - a quick note about some incorrect Hasbro listings:

A variety of upcoming Hasbro items announced in last night's newsletter
were listed in error.   After receiving more detailed information from our
sales representative at Hasbro, it turns out that these items were not yet
ready to be officially announced.  My apologies for jumping the gun on
these listings, it was unintentional and an honest mistake.

We've removed the Sigma 6, Unleashed, Attacktix, and Vintage Star Wars
preorder listings from our site, and they will remain this way until they
are ready to be officially announced by Hasbro.

Sorry for the confusion and thanks for all the interest in Hasbro's great
product.

Seems we know more than we should now... :shifty:

Meh, My memory (spotty as it is) seems to tell me that BBTS has played that game before, to generate buzz and get free publicity. If he doesn't knock it off I'm sure that there will be reprocussions from Hasbro.

I can't imagine that he'd do the kind of volume by which he could dictate terms to them...

And I think that they will be statues, and I also think that they will be a game, kind of like Attacktics, if not actually Attacktics.

2.5?  Come on.  Stop dicking around with the figure sizes.

by the look of what we've seen from the toyfare pics...the 2.5" line looks pretty stiff figure wise...
