That's the plasticard recreation. I believe I reviewed it in a Joe Canuck Newsletter. If not, I will definitely have to review it in the next issue because it is a very impressive collector piece.

Is he still months behind on orders?

I checked with him last year on placing an order and he said it would be months for the order to be filled.

I don't think it's so much that he's months behind as it takes him a great deal of time to process each order. I placed my order over a year before it arrived, but when it arrived I was ecstatic.

It is my opinion that Joe is making these much more quickly now than before. He seems to be mostly caught up on these orders.

When I ordered mine from D&J Toys back in January 2011, it took all of eleven months for him to complete and mail out to me, but when it did arrive in December, it was flawless and amazing.  I could easily see the amount of work he put into the assembly, and was glad that I didn't try building it myself.

If you have some money and the time to wait for it, I highly recommend getting one of these for any collection. Maybe someday these will be worth more than the originals!?!

wow that is awesome someone is making that awesome dio. I remember it from years ago in the sears Christmas catalogue, I do believe. That's a really good price too! Why would he be so behind? Just massive amounts of orders for it?

i just emailed him and he said hes all caught up and that it wouldnt be more than a few months for new orders.

I wait over a year to get mine but it worth it.  I was looking to buy an original but this repro is a lot better.  It display very well with some Black Major's troopers.
