Today @ Niagra Falls KB Outlet
« on: November 18, 2006, 11:40:36 PM »

I stopped by the KB Outlet (Niagra Factory Outlet, Military rd.) and I spotted some 1:18 PTE stuff:

~M.U.T.T. Jeep with Ranger figure - $7 - there were 4-5 of them
~Blackhawk helicopter - I'm pretty sure it was $18, came with 2 figs - 2 of these
~Camo humvee w/2 Ranger figs - $12 - 2 of them
~"Border set" came with checkpoint, motorcycle, and a couple figs - (unknown price) 4 of them
~1:6 paratroopers and H.A.L.O. jumper

They also had lots of Mcfarlane Military figures (only $5.88 each!)

Ya the PTE blackhawk is a pretty good deal, its good for dios and it seats many figures; however its kinda crammed inside.

I modified mine to carry 2 pilots, 4-6 figs, and also carry a stretcher, etc. (pics on my site)

Mine is curreltly hovering in my closet, carrying all of sky patrol without any difficulty at all.

Did you hit the Big Lots on that strip? As late as 2 months ago, they had bunk sets, lockers, and pretty much everything else, along with everything Chap Mei short of the harrier.

wait... that store has McF military figures for $6 each!?

holy crap, I'm going to check that store out this afternoon, that's damn awesome.  it's been a couple weeks since you posted this, Muskrat, and I'm playing catch-up here, but since the outlet mall is 10 minutes away it's worth a look-see (it's not KB has a rash of sellouts on most stuff either).

I look at those figures in TRU everytime I go and then get annoyed at the $8-9 price but they looks so damn nice... they're certainly reasonable for $6!   ;D

Dang right about them being nice, they;re the most realisticly detailed military figures I've ever seen. I almost got a heart attack when I saw the price tag; in Canada if you can find them, they are around $15 each!
