BHT Toy Room (A work in progress)
« on: October 10, 2005, 02:31:20 PM »

While I'm not done, I'm just dying to share this with you all - so here it is.

My 'Personal Collection' Toy Room.

It's not done, and some of it has even changed since these pics were taken (the Dukes figs aren't on that wall anymore!).

But enough of me talking, I'm interested in knowing what you guys have to say!

OLD LINK: http://photobucket.com/albums/b1/bh_toys/

I'm in no way a completionist (except on a few things), and I DON'T do vehicles due to the room it would take up.... but I will on the other toy room (more on that in a few months)

Heh. Let it be said that I was no a man to tell you to put up your dukes.

It's a joy and an inspiration to see the room. Whenever my f*&%ing basement gets done, I will be trying my own take on it. ;-)

I really like your Star Trek displays, with the ship and crews. Maybe I'll steal that idea and do a DS9 Station, crew, and favourite residents display. Of course, I only have Morn from the DS9 line right now.

I'm also impressed with the Star Wars unleased figures. Amassed like that, they look really cool.

Thanks guys.

I did some more work on it this weekend (no pics however).

The MOC dukes are now next to the Marvel Legends/WWE wall.

Where the Dukes were, there are now 5 or 6 smaller shelves - which will hold : MOTU figures, Movie Maniacs....... and I'm not 100% sure what else.
Maybe 'Weebles'. ;-)

I honestly forget.

BUT, if you goto Ikea, they're on the walls in the Media section.
Upstairs with the Entertainment units and CD stands (that's actually what they are).

Raps just bought his, so he most likely remembers the name better than I.

Those look cool. Looks like you had to cut out a part of the drywall to put those in place. I wouldn't mind doing that meself sometime, if that is what you had to do.

For those who are interested in the shelves:

Glass-door wall cabinet
BERTBY
$159.00
Holds 290 CDs, 140 DVDs or 70 videos.
Safety glass is more impact resistant than ordinary glass.
Adjustable shelves can be arranged according to your needs.

http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s ... 5639*15645

I've now confirmed that the glass will take a head on impact from a charging toddler with no damage to the cabinet (or the toddler).

Ed, drop by my place and I'll show em off. No one ever comes to visit me anymore, now that I actually have them up. :-(

"It's all in the picture"

I didn't cut anything out of the wall. I honestly don't think I'd like them that way......

They're just mounted on the wall. :-)
