A i dont have a power drill
b this figure is a near mint voltar from destros army i bought the other day from the comic book store and i dont want it broken if possible so alil something that doesnt

Welcome! I use WD-40...or dip the figure or torso part in boiling water until I can unscrew it. I prefer to use WD40, because the boiling may slightly discolorate the plastic.
EDIT: Oops. Read a second time and you specified "stripped screw". I actually drill through the head of the screw, eliminating it. Once the head is gone, It's easy to take apart the two torso's and you use a good plier tool to manually unscrew what's left inside the plastic. Works every time.

Welcome to the board.
Tip for removing screw - buy a jewller's screw driver at the dollar store and a tube of crazy glue. Put a small dab of crazy glue on the screw driver, put it on the screw. Remove the screw, and replace with a new screw.

Someone else in the London area? Hello!

Welcome to the board
I would recommend using water when you are going to use the extract the screw
-
Hello and welcome.
Try a longer screw driver with a comfortable handle. The smaller sets can make it very hard to remove a rusty screw.

welcome to the boards....i hope everything works out with the stripped screw :)
