Legends' Back to School Sale: S6 Spirit & Heavy Duty
« on: September 12, 2006, 10:18:23 PM »

Hey gang, Legends has Sigma 6 Spirit and Heavy Duty marked down to $8.99 each (check the Sigma 6 page), so if you're looking for one or the either, this might be the time to get them.

I don't want to own Heavy Duty out of principal, but that's a good price... And it isn't that bad a figure...

We'll see. Meanwhile, I'm kicking myself for passing up a Tunnel Rat at D'Artagnon for $18.

I don't want Heavy Duty nor Spirit, so the sale doesn't affect me.  I'll probably just pick up a Geekman figure instead, or some Stikfas.  That new Military Four-Pack looks freakin' sweet...

Actually, Spirit's the first that sold me on Sigma Six. I loved his look and colours, and there's a tonne of play value to that bow. Unlike the spring-loaded missile launchers of the late 90s, this gimmick is fully intergrated and operable by the figure itself.

In fact, I'd say that Sigma Six's greatest achievement over ARAH is the integration of gimmicks. Gone are Action Attack features that wreak havok on articulation, or missile launchers so large the backblast of firing them would propel the soldier deep into enemy lines. Heck, I've been playing with Firefly pretty non-stop for a week, and just Monday did I realize that his firesticks can be hooked onto his gun.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on Sprit, I'm just saying that I'm not crazy about him, is all.  I'm really digging the S6 line.  I love my Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, and I hope to get a VAMP sometime and a Duke to repaint into Duke Nukem.
