Have they confirmed the team will be called the Jets yet? I know that is what all the fans want but I heard that might not happen a couple of days ago.

The red gas can is Tonka. It came with several of their sets during the 80's. The blue cover might be form the Ferret 4 wheeler. Just above the bottom center gun, turned upside down, is the lower center gun of the Cobra Hydrofoil.

I had no idea Washington DC was a hockey town, but let me tell you they love them some hockey. People who have never played, never skated on ice, never taped up a stick are die hard fans. It is a little weird but at the same time, it is kind of funny when the sports talk brings up how could they possibly be losing to a warm weather team. I'll give them this. They are die hard fans.

I got to see that Strikefire in New York. It is cool and will get re-purposed as a Joe SWAT vehicle once I see it on the shelves.

I won't say never, but I don't think you will see them as Joe vehicles. They've been keeping vehicles segragated and the only corssing over seems to be Joe into Marvel and not the other way around.

Mike you should make the free Timbits at the convention only available to people who bring a finished coloring picture.  ;D Sticky tack them to the wall for display.

That wrap around cover is pretty sweet. Kind of wish that could be the box art for the set.

Great newsletter as usual (and I'm not just saying that because I have an article in it).

So here's a question for everyone - did you read any of Devil's Due's or Dreamwave's Joe/Transformer books?  If so, what did you think?
I only read DDP's WWII take on it. I only picked it up because it was such a drastic change from anything we've seen before. I really enjoyed the character designs for both franchises. Snake Eyes throwing dice to give his name was cheesey but the story overall was good and the art, especially the covers were drool worthy.

no, i meant Lifeline was a medic, in reference to the comment about Doc being the only medic.
I said doc was the only "doctor". Lifeline is a medic or corpsman and was previously an EMS. A field medic and an actual doctor are not the same thing. One is trained to treat emergency wounds in the field and the other has a medical degree and treats everything from the flu to the transplant of organs.

Canuckleheads was great. Doc was by far thed most shocking death. Probably because the cartoon used him so often and being the lone doctor.

As for painting eyes it really comes down to being ready to paint, fix, repaint, fix, re-repaint. All I can say is once you see next month how a master paints eyes, you'll think this style is a piece of cake. Mmm...cake.

$611 and worth every penny. That was a cool exclusive I missed out on. I know there are a lot of people wishing they had that item.
