That's some crazy news to receive loopster. For something like this to happen for a guy in his 20's is quite a shock as pete said. Stay strong. I hope all goes well and speedy recovery for you man.

Quebec / Quebec Roll Call

You can add 1 more to the list for a grand total of 5 montrealers lol. I'm a bit lazy to post sometimes. I definitely know there are more than 5 collectors here in montreal from my joe hunting adventures. However, I think there are only 5 active ones on this board as well as the others (or that I am aware of).

General Joe Talk / 12 and 3 3/4 figure lines going into retirement
« on: February 20, 2005, 09:07:58 PM »
I was totally shocked to see this. I've been away from the boards for a few days and I come back to see all this commotion. 8 pages on joecustoms.

If this is the direction Hasbro wants or feels it needs to take with joes, then this is what they'll do. Of course, collectors won't agree.

Man,
I was away for a few days and I come back to see this. Man, I missed a lot. What a shocker. All the boards are flooded with speculation and fear.

I'm glad joe will finally get it's own toon, but I hope it won't be cheesy.

What this means for the 12 and 3 3/4 line? Time will tell.

Quebec / NINJA BATTLE at legends!!

The sets have been spotted as low as $15US and if you could find someone to find it at that price and ship it to you loose then that would be the route to go.

But if you can't, $27CAN is not too bad. It is unfortunate that prices seem a tad high to you and for others, I agree with you as well. However, anyone out of the US has the same problem. Could you imagine living in Australia or Europe and collect joes?

General Joe Talk / 2005 Convention Figures

Morgardee,
The Iron Anvils are supposed to be repainted 94 vipers. Also, they say new and improved IG's so I'm not sure they are the original. There have been so many stories over the last few years that the mold was lost in South America. I'm wondering what mold they will use to replace the IG's. I'm thinking Annihilator. What would really be a pleasant surprise is if they got the mold back or parts of it(head, torso).

I'm really liking the set. I'm not sure if I will be able to attend this year, but will definitely order one if I can't. I might be able to help some of you out if I do attend, but can't guarantee that since space is limited in the luggage and there are supposed to be 4 exclusives again this year. Why so many? 1 set of joes and 3 vehicles (2 power fighters and the condor from alyosha's list). However, with so many exclusives we might be able to get them off MC after the con. They didn't sell out last year and are still available.

I just can't wait for pics to start trickling in.

General Joe Talk / Possibility of 3 packs in Canada - in 2005?
« on: November 10, 2004, 05:27:54 PM »
Man, that's way behind. I've already got the comic packs and really don't have any interest in picking up multiples. I'd use the for custom fodder, but some of the heads, though way cool sculpts, are just rediculously small. They look like shrunken heads or a child's head on an adult body. I really only need 1 of each figure and to support future comic/classic figs.

Quebec / Single packs at Capitaine Quebec

Well you don't have to look here. I'm mainly into the old school stuff. So you don't ever have to worry about me hording anything or even buying any new scuplts for that matter. I have less new scuplts than I do fingers. However, I'm sure there are tons of collectors here in MTL, but choose not to post and like to stay in the shadows.

General Joe Talk / Mikes Mailing list discount code

I don't think you know until after the purchase. They supposedly vary from week to week. Nonetheless, I think it's great of BHM to even have all these specials for a WHOLE month. Plus we can use this deal on Wednesdays.....which I am waiting for  :D .
