Title: Early Bird Vs. VIP Pass
Post by: pdaat on April 27, 2009, 11:12:48 AM
If I am reading it right, there are 3 ways to gain admission for adults:

Early Bird - $15, 08:30, no chance of buying con set
VIP - $15, required to buy con set, in the doors at 09:00?
Regular - $10 - 09:00, no chance of getting set

Correct?

How is the freebie table being handled this year?  Are the younger collectors being let in first for a crack at it? What's the age limit?

Freebie table is on a first-come basis this year. No kids with early admissions this time.
It's just not doable with the way we have to handle the convention sets this year.

And you're correct on the admissions. If you do the early bird, or basic admission, you won't have a chance to purchase the Con set - and you'll also have second tier seating for the Presentations, etc.

The VIP will allow those with the pass to have seating first. We'll explain how that works the day of the Con.

Yay!  So instead of always heckling the Hasbro presentation from the back of the room, with the VIP pass, I'll get to heckle them from the front of the room  ;D

Does this mean the early birds gets first shot at the freebie table then?

The convention info said something about CJC lanyards with names the vip pass holders. Will these be made onsite or is their somewhere on Joe Canuck that we can sign up in advance for the VIP tickets and then they are availlable at the door.

thanks

In another thread, we mention that they are available at the door only.

Put it this way - everything is available at the admissions table. :-)

So am I going to put the terrordrome on the freebie table with a raffle jar then or will it have it's own spot?

Someone from the staff will take it from you when you're in line and we'll put it aside.
