Singles at Zellers?

In case someone didn't see my post in the Comic thread... I saw two empty pegs that said GI Joe Single Figure $7.99! I assume the product had not arrived yet. There was a blue tag on them that said "CR" Any clue what that means? Anyone have Zellers connections?

Just checked my Zellers out,  also had the sing;e pack peg with the Cr on it.  I asked, but the lady was unsure.  She did say that it must mean they would be here shortly.

I was just in my Zellers in Goderich, they had 2 pegs for the single pack 25th anniversary and 1 for the comic packs.  But at the rate they restock it could be a month before product is on the shelves  :lol:

I looked again today... still not there, although there was a SW restock. But I give only 0.02 craps about that.

The Joe pegs label: The date was 31 Jan 08, same as the comic pack peg label. Label read: "25th Ann GI Joe Single Pk -English" (or something very similar). Maybe it means it's the US packaging ones (vice generic frespanglish ones)? Any word/speculation? Any word back from Hasbro to the questions we submitted?

Should have take a phone cam pic but forgot my mobile today. Hmm... a pic of an empty peg... is that desperate or sad?

Awesome news, I'll def be checking my zellers tommorow too. There are four near me so I may check them all even to see if they have the pegs. Then off to Walmart although I don't mine has any seems to be the worst walmart on the face of the planet for toys. StarViper any chance you could let me know which walmart in Ottawa you saw the wave five figs at, any info would be appreciated. I'll keep you guys posted if I find anything at zellers tommorow.

Hello All,

Checked out one of the Zellers by me in Bellscorners and found one full case wave 5 $7.99 each, snaged the bunch up. Only bad thing is that these are the tri language ones with the crappy  no picture card art. Hopefully these are just a test run and we get to see superior cards like our american couterparts.

If these start showing up in Zellers and someone is going to Joe Canuck can you please hook a fellow Canuck out? I want the funky cards. Pete has Flash but I was hoping to make a custom out of both the figure and the card. I still wouldn't mind getting a set just for the fun of it.

I'll keep an eye out in the area for you.  I'm usually able to get out quite a bit when I need to get out of the office.
