Hi all!
I recently got back into collecting some old GI Joe figures. I was doing a bit of surfing and came across this joe site, canadian awesome!! I am coming out of Barrie, ontario. I am really looking foward to completing some of the parts i am missing on some of my old vehicles. I am also looking foward to setting up some dioramas and some scenic display shadow boxes for some of my figures. As for what i do other than collect toys, i collect 28mm miniatures. I also build alot of scenery for 28mm miniatures...here is some of my most recent work "Modular Desert"

Welcome to the Board! Your Pryamid and Ruins are amazing! :o How long did it take to make it?
-
Thanks! Ive put in over 150 hours on the whole map so far.(only 3 out of 9 one foot squares are showing in the pics i posted here)
-
Welcome, from one new guy to another. Pyramid scene would be great for SG-1.
-
I was think the same thing too!
-
Yeah thematically it would fit SG-1 for sure! This map was custom made for a 1930's Indiana Jones egyptian style pulp role playing game called chaos in cairo.
-
Welcome,
I agree it would be great for a SG-1 display.

Are you using plans to create this or just from photos? Because the attention to detail is great!

Ive been working with a guy on this project as to what he wants in the map. For instance he wanted a pyramid on one square. He also wanted an oasis on another. So this project has allowed for alot of creative freedom on my part. Research on the pyramid was done just by pics from books and off the 'net.
Here is some other pics of this map:

OMG! :o Those Pics are amazing! I'm so jealous of your skill and creativity!

...and your patience.
Unbelievable stuff. Do toy companies accept portfolios?
-
Welcome and great photos. I agree, your fantastic pyramid would fit right in with a Stargate diorama.

Thanks for the comments guys!
I should really check that out! I sure could use a real job! What i really would like to do is get into building scenery for movies.
Here is a link to my photobucket account that hosts tons of pics of my other miniature paintjobs and scenery work. Be sure to check out the sidebars.(especially the Necromoancer Tower)
