Rare variant from Canada?
« on: July 31, 2008, 07:22:38 AM »

See this first: http://www.guru-planet.com/gijoerov2cac.html

I know international cards are different from the US... but to call them variant...?

Rare is true because they are hard to find at Zellers, Wallmart, TRU...

Is there really a market for these at $34.99???

What is common for us might be hard to find for others.

Personally I think the Hiss driver on Canadian card is going to be the rarest of all of the Canadian cards.

Those wacky Americans.

I've seen Canadian cards on ebay, but they're not going for a lot.  Who knows...  maybe this will spark that trend.  I'd be willing to sell off my "Canadian card variants" if it meant getting $40 a pop.

The reality is that "international" cards don't really go for much.  Until recently, most American collectors didn't care for them, and in fact preferred the English only US cards.

I was able to trade a set of 3 cards for a DOC (1 blank, 1 Cobra, 1 Joe), but selling the figures individually doesn't get you much.

I would hazard a guess that in the long run, the "blank" cards (wave 5) will be the most sought after due to their completely different look.
