Exclusive Troop Builder Packs @ Toys'R'Us
« on: October 01, 2008, 11:10:59 AM »

I just came across the TRU exclusive trooper build packs (Crimson Guard & Firefly Vs Greenshirts) at Kitchener Toys'R'Us.

The best part, they were only $19.99.  Seems like a great deal.
The SKU is: 261556

Should also mention they had a pretty good quantity of each.  Probably 6-8 of each set.

I may have to leave work early and check on my way home.
$20 is a reasonable price.

WTF.  I checked two TRUs yesterday and didn't see them.  Off to TRU again tonight sigh.

If you spot an IG 3 pack when you're there Pete, please pick it up for me. I've had no luck.

If anyone can post the SKU for the 5 packs, it would be appreciated.  It seems like the 5 packs are in the same situation as the 3 packs.  Meaning they are going out on the shelves without being in the system.

And a big thanks for that BTW. When I picked up mine they were starting to look for the sku and I just held up my blackberry and said "Use this. My friend told me this would save time". It did. I was out of there in 30 seconds.

The green shirt set is very blah but the Crimson set is nice. Too bad I have no room for all of them right now. It's funny, you can buy 1 G.I. Joe figure from TRU for $9.99 or 5 for $19.99. I'm glad I didn't go crazy over the original Crimson Guard figures when they first came out. Now, how long until we see a BAT set and a Viper set?

I'm kicking myself for that one.  I bought quite a few single Crimson Guards so I just couldn't justify buying more then one of these 5-packs.  It's a great deal IMO, but I really don't need any more.

Stopped tonight at the TRU at Highway 10 and Eglinton in Mississauga found both packs.
They had about 6 sets of both 5 packs, but didn't have them in the computer - I am so glad I jotted down the SKU# I would have been there forever.

I also noticed they restocked all of their comic 2-packs, plenty of the last 2 waves - they also had the Torch/Ripper pack - I have never seen it in Canada before today.

Dang it!  I drove from Cornwall to London and back Tuesday and Wednesday, stopping at almost every Toys R Us between here and there, and didn't see ANY troop builder packs!

I found all the senior command packs - and Toys R Us in London must have re-stocked everything they've ever carried, because it was PACKED with GI Joe toys.  Every comic pack (except the black-headed Destro) was there...  I was lucky enough to find the Silent Interlude comic pack I was missing, too.
