If he had the same shade of red and gold as the rest of the IG's... I'd have to get one.

Are those the exact same colours as the Python Patrol 6 pack? If so, that's a point against what is otherwise a great start.

Not for me it's not.

If the rest of the set runs these python patrol colors I'll be ecstatic (though I hope the red is red and not pink)

In my joeverse the python patrol aka "The Iron Pythons" are part of destro's army.

Oh I'm loving this

Personally I think the figure looks great either as a Python Patrol type figure or not. I just really love the detail that seems to pop out with a really good paint job.

I don't know where people in different message boards are getting Python Patrol from with this set.  The first two figures released don't like like PP colours to me anyways.

I'd say from this figure, Pete:

Look at Metal Head in one window, then switch to the link above. The paint scheme is pretty close.

Saw Viper is the outlier in that set. He doesn't match up with the 5 other PP guys.  If the figures from covention set matched the other five guys, I would more inclined to state they look like PP.

I totally agree with you.... I think saying "looks like Saw Viper from the PP set's pain scheme" would be far more of an accurate statement... but you know people... they're lazy.
