Title: Hasbro Q&A - March Break Edition - ANSWERS!
Post by: Stealth Viper on April 28, 2011, 10:40:45 AM
Joecanuck Asked:
      1) Will Hasbro run another votes choice for future characters or vehicles to be produced for the 30th anniversary?

Hasbro Answered:

1)   We don't have any plans for that at the moment. One of the challenges that we will have next year for the 30th is that we will also want to celebrate the movie that is currently scheduled for release in August!

Joecanuck Asked:
2)   POC 2 Recondo has a decidedly odd "poacher" vibe to him( using bear traps and what looks like a Haida bear mask) --was he ever intended to be an updated Dreaknok Gnawgahyde?

Hasbro Answered:

2)   The designer who worked on Recondo was definitely inspired by Gnawgahyde, but believe us he was never intended to be this Dreadnok character.  Early in the POC concept stage, we only had one specialist per "region" - and we knew that the Jungle Specialist had to tell a great story and look like a real adventurer.  I think the Poacher vibe ended up being a coincidence more than anything.

Joecanuck Asked:

3)   The Skystriker has been reported that it will not come with a parachute - if this is true will there be a mount on the back of the seat so we can put our own parachute?

Hasbro Answered:

    3) Sorry, that rumor is not true.  But, I suppose if you were an ambitious enough customizer you could fashion a 'chute.  That being said, the seat may require a larger chute to support the weight.  May be a fun challenge for a custom project, but the current Skystriker seat is meant to be non-removable.

Damn, I was hoping we could put our own chute on the back of the seat.  I guess we have to wait until we get our hands on it to see how much customizing will be needed.

Yeah, but we pretty much always do (at least since we stopped asking "when will that web store thing come to Canada?")!

I will say this: trying to come up with questions to ask is getting harder and harder. I asked the "poacher" one this time( and it took a couple of communal tries to get it down to a sensibly unwieldy question--my bad), but it took about a week of looking at my figures to figure out what to ask about in the first place. I have no clue what to ask about for the next round.

I... I can't even come up with questions any more. :-[

This should have been on it's own thread...  ;D

Or 499.90 on the secondary market - where 99% of us will have to look to get one.

The secondary market will be so prohibitive, people should just customize 'Screamer. The price point for regular Skystriker is reasonable...
