I think Hasbro has been overdoing it for a while, specifically with regard to GI Joe.

It frustrates me that the 25th line can be near-perfect at its best, but we get really lame repaints like Monkeywrench, Crankcase, Breaker, etc... I know they're going to reuse parts, but they seem to do it a bit too much in order to rush the product on the shelves. How many figures need those Duke arms, anyway?

So could this mean Winners might get these here?

Mere speculation, I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but what do you think?

Well, I checked my Aeroplan account and my points could cover it... I've just got to see how my work schedule pans out and if the gf is into it... Seeing the pics of the set would help make my decision.

Is the Canadian one comparable in terms of dealers? That's my primary reason to go...

Late, late, late... I mean, really. What's the issue? There's no reason why they can't fix the proper postage on these and send them all out at the same time, right?

The drill bit method works. Go to Yojoe.com's forums for a sticky giving you all the info (I just flew in after Christmas break and don't really want to rewrite everything! ;) )

I've never ruined any parts, but I do have a pretty steady hand I guess, and I'm careful about it. Don't go to town on it - if you keep the drill going for too long it'll get hot and melt the part. You don't necessarily have to remove the screw head either - see the above mentioned sticky thread for more on that.

Well, that's too bad... I was really looking forward to these... :(

Guess it'll be good for my credit card, though, especially during Christmas. I do hope we see them next year though.

Hey, even a comic convention might be nice, but strictly toys are better of course!

Anyone?

Well it has been three years since my last trip. It's too bad to hear they dumped their vintage toys.

If you come back, check out that other store I mentioned. The selection wasn't huge or anything, but it was decent. I'll go back sometime this week and get the actual name...

Well, decided to put this one on Ebay, it's sitting at about $70 right now. There's some other good stuff too, if you're interested:

Checked out Odyssey 2000 the other day, disappointed that they didn't have any Joes whatsoever, or vintage anything really. To be quite honest it seemed like a run of the mill comic/magic card shop, and as such not as interesting as Strange Adventures, which had a lot more cooler stuff (though again, no Joes).

There's a shop on Barrington St (I think), sort of between the base and Staples, that had a nice selection of vintage Joes. Can't remember the name though...

Okay, there's the pic. If you're wondering why there are two main bodies, it's because there are a couple stress marks on the original, so I've included an extra if you want it. Apparently these occurred during shipping, because I opened this myself.

Nothing wrong with the other one, from what I can tell.
