Title: BF2000 2-Pack Figures International Release questions
Post by: YoJoeNCSU on July 03, 2012, 04:23:38 PM
Were the BF2000 2 pack figures that were released in Canada (assuming they were) any different from the US release?

I have a single carded version of Dodger that is the Canadian release with the French translation, but I haven't seen a carded 2 pack version of the BF2000 guys that has the French writing.

I do have a French file card though where the orientation of the Dodger mugshot is different from the single carded version I have - similar to the difference in the US release between the single pack and the 2 pack BF2000 figures.  That makes me think there are French/Canadian 2 packs out there.

Thanks!

I can't speak for the rest of Canada, but back then in Quebec, these bilingual 2-packs were sold at Toys R Us.

I'm pretty sure mine were from TRU. It was a long time ago so my memory is hazy.

Also, how come the BF2000 artwork looks fantastic and the figures look terrible?

Strangely, Charbroil from 1988 Fast Draw from 1987 also suffered from a similar condition .... but had superb cardart. My theory is that these guys' sculpts were designed by Chap Mei guys.

Latinjoe22 approves my statement. This, he commands  8)

Would you want to see updates to the designs? Or something more like this?
