New features:
You Tube Embedded: You can now post a youtube video directly in your post by using the You TUbe icon above when posting or replying.
Site access: If you look above, you'll see links that take you to the main JoeCanuck site, and other locations like the CanJoeCon site, or newsletter section.
Social Bookmarks : you can now post threads directly into twitter, facebook, myspace, digg and many others by using the icons in the top-right corner.
Facebook / Twiiter, etc : You can now include links to your accounts in your profile.
Age & Location: If you entered in a birthday and location in your profile, those will now show up in the left side of your posts. <----Over there.
Signature Default : If you don't enter anything in your signature space, you'll be pimping www.CanadianJoeCon.com (http://www.CanadianJoeCon.com) now by default.
Timbits: Give or take a Timbit from other board members. When you "take" a Timbit, you don't get it added to yours, but you ensure another member doesn't get it either.
Unique Avatar : If you use a board avatar, you will be the only one to use it. No one else can claim that Avatar until you give it up.
Twitter Updates: New posts in the General, Message Board, Newsletters, and Sightings section will automatically be updated at the Canadian Joe Con Twitter account. (Go here to see: www.twitter.com/canadianjoecon (http://www.twitter.com/canadianjoecon) ). Mind you, some posts on twitter will be removed if they're spam, etc. The mod will also update the Facebook account - but I'm not confortable giving them my login info for that one.
There will be a few more Mods to the board over time. I'll post them in here as it happens.
Hope you guys like the new look. Please let me know if there's any problems that you guys find or if something doesn't look right.

The board comes with a "Karma" feature. It's a + or - for someone's help or post on the board. Don't put much thought into it. I thought it would be a fun little Canadian thing for us to joke about "I gave you a timbit". ;-)
When you "take" one from someone, you don't get it added to your "have" amount.... it just immediately gets eaten up! :-)
Now that Morgardee has taken more than I have, I sit here with a negative... meaning I have no timbits, and I'm now craving one. ;-)
I gave the rest of you in this thread a Timbit... but took one back from Morg. ...I suggest you all do the same (take one from Morgardee that is).

I also appreciate better having all the sections to the site under one bar. Great job guys. I have to agree with Martin on what he's saying. There seems to be differences between what a page is called on the Home page and on the forum page. Still, I'm sure that is nothing major.We should have a Costumes (and by that I mean disguise) section too if there isn't one, I didn't check.
And you should have a games section where one can earn Timbits as prize.

The timbits feature us just for fun. Not to be taken serious at all.
There is a "trading-rating" option I can do on the board, but is it something you guys would want?... or is the feedback section good enough?

1) If it gets more complicated - with ratings - then it might also create problems with people questioning why they didn't get perfect, etc.
2) Plus, there's already tons of feedback established via the current method.
So timbits all around!!! - anytime I see someone in the neg's I try to give one...but I don't see my timpack number dropping. So I guess I'm not giving one of "my own", just like I don't get one when I take one (not that I've done that). As counter-intuitive as that sounds....
I'm going to try to give one everytime someone makes a really good post or makes me laugh!
