Hi Guys-
I have a bunch of 1988 black joe stands. I tried putting duke and tripwire on one of these and broken thier heels. Thank goodness for crazy glue!
I have figure stands from the earl joe years and this fit perfect. Are there different Joe foot hole sizes based on years...there has to be...
Thanks for any help!

Yes they have changed. But it is mainly when the do a relaunch that the peg sizes change.

Yep, even the feet holes of the 1986 figures are more tolerant to bigger pegs.
And yes, my tripwire and Zap's heels also broke off so I guess my money will be well spent at the CJC :)

When they started adding the battle stand to the plastic weapon tree, the peg was larger. I busted a couple of figures on those. On some of them I took my knife and shaved a bit off the stand to work.
I think it was a secret plot from Hasbro to destroy all our old figures so we were forced to buy new ones ???
;D lol

yeah i found out the hard way...and it broke me heart, duke, tripwire, and zartan. I've kept the broken pieces and crazy glued them on i'm just really Leary of what JOE's to use on what stands.
I just thought there was a standard :( Live and learn....
Good idea in shaving off the pegs. I'm very leary of putting anything under 86 on the black 88 stands.

I'm glad to hear hearts can be crazy-glued back together.
-
there's allot crazy glue can do!! LOL....I still have to get a pic of my collection posted. totally forgetting.
-
i have duke legs, and zartan legs, you can have.
-
I shaved down the peg on the stands for any of the older ARAH figures I had on display. The older figures were not designed for them in the first place.
-
would a fine grain sand paper be better? just to wrap it around the peg and shave off until fitting? Anyone try this?
-
I just used an exacto knife to shaved down the peg. Sand paper would have taken too long.
-
just a few thin slices all around the peg... test the foot after every few slices or so so it doesnt get too loose on the stand.
-
Thanks PG man, really appreciate it!

I had no idea about different foot pegs...
Fortunately all my 82/3 figs are standing without stands.
I'll have to be super conscientious...

yes man be sure to not make the same mistake. 86's up seem to work fine on the black stands. I'm happy for crazy glue, but i'm sad I had to have this happen to 3 of my fave joes, I forgot that it happened also to my tripwire, as well as duke and zartan.
