Any Canuckle Heads going to sign up for a sub? Looks like it'll be around $600 Can for a single sub. The first two previews are up. Kinda lackluster to me.

General Joe Talk / Canuckleheads comics

I have the Canadian convention comics, 2009-2012, and was wondering if all the Canuckleheads comics are included in these four editions? If not then how does a person find them?

Customs / Project Flagg by Crimson Canuck
« on: February 28, 2017, 09:59:36 AM »
I remember when I was around 10 I would wear out the Sears Christmas catalogue looking at the pictures of the GI Joe toys and dreaming of having them and begging my parents for them. Especially the USS Flagg and a Skystriker to land on its deck. Well that never happened, but it wasn't all bad as I did get one GI Joe vehicle from my parents for Christmas one year, the Killer Whale hovercraft. The rest of my joes I bought with money from chores and picking bottles. Fast forward to 2002 and my son was around 5. I had finally gotten a Skystriker a couple of years earlier and thought it would be nice for my son to have a landing strip for the jet so I made an aircraft carrier deck from some particle board, painted it grey and made some stickers for it.

I put hinges on it to fold it in half for easy storage, which is where it was for about 8 years until I rediscovered it and decided to use it as my table top.
Well I always wished I could have made the super structure for my son back then but wasn't sure how to go about it and then it got forgotten when the deck got packed away. That is until I was browsing eBay one day and saw this cracked, stained and warped super structure for cheap and figured I give it a go at restoring it.

So, in anticipation of the arrival of the super structure, I decided to repaint the deck.

General Joe Talk / Anyone excited about the 2016 con set?
« on: February 29, 2016, 10:59:32 AM »
So the Club released the brochure and announced the 4" set as Sky Patrol vs Cobra A.D.D.E.R.S.
Anyone here excited about this set?

Personally, I'm interested in the Sky Patrol figures, but the Cobra troops sound kind of meh to me. I was never in to the 90's stuff, but since I rediscovered Joe when the 25th stuff came out and started researching the line I felt that Sky Patrol had the most potential out of the 90's figures. I realize these can be simple repaints of existing figures with new heads (which is how I hope they are done) with the exception of Static Line and Skydive. But if they can do those two right then maybe we'll see Gyroviper and Backstop made.

Really interested to see how the builds will turn out.

Off Topic / How to buy and sell?
« on: March 26, 2015, 12:04:45 AM »
Hi all, uh forgive my naivet?, but how does a person go about buying and selling on these forums? Do you have to have electronic funds, or Paypal, or does check and money order work? What ways of payment are allowed and what is preferred? Are there certain things to watch out for?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated for this old newbie. :)

Finally got the first two of the subscription yesterday and the cards and paint apps look good. Customs is gonna love me now that the dollar is down though.
Any other Canucks subscribe to the club's figure service? This one or the previous ones?

Customs / Crimson Canuck Customs
« on: November 01, 2014, 02:31:29 PM »
Hey there. There are so many excellent customs here that I'm a little sheepish to show off mine. But, other than filling holes in the collection because of "unobtainable" and unproduced figures, what's the point of doing them if you don't show them?
I started doing customs Dec 2013, so I'll start with the first full on custom I did.

Introductions / Hello from northern Saskatchewan
« on: November 01, 2014, 12:36:54 PM »
Hello fellow Canadian Joe fans. I'm from Northwest Saskatchewan and have been a fan of GI Joe since the early 80's. I collect mostly modern figures, but I still seek out the classic 80's figures from time to time. I have also been dabbling in customizing for almost a year now and am thrilled to see so many Canadian fans customize as well, not to mention some of the best customs are coming from Canadian hands IMO. It's great to see a Canadian fan base for this hobby, and I'm excited to be a part of your community.
