Two more guest announcements!

Actor Kevin Sorbo, well known for his roles on Hercules and Andromeda, will be at C4.

As well Actor Garrett Wang, known for his role as Ensign Harry Kim on Star Trek Voyager, will also be in attendance to meet and greet with the attendees! :)

I saw a few Rise of Cobra Figures at Winners in Garden City Mall today for $4.99. Might be worth a look- they had Storm Shadow(battle damaged) and Night Adder.

Voice Actor Lee Tockar has been added to the C4 Guest List!

Lee has G.I.Joe ties from his work as Shipwreck on Spytroopers and Shipwreck and Beachhead in Valor vs Venom.

Last week I got a few figures from Zellers for like $2 each. As well some Combat Heroes for $1.50(love Firefly :)) and a Crimson Hydra for $10 from Walmart. Lots of sales right now.

General Information about Central Canada Comic Con
- Fastest growing event in Canada! In 2006, the convention received 3000 attendees, 11,000 in 2007 and a whopping 16,500 in 2008! In 2009 the Central Canada Comic Con reached an attendance of 18,000! In 2010, we are expecting an attendance of 20,000!
- Our Advertising Campaign is one of the most expansive for an event of our calibre. We send posters and handbills out to every store in Canada, and to stores in the US that reach our catchment area. (Our Catchment is anywhere within a 15hr drive of Winnipeg, MB.) In addition to this we run newspaper, radio, magazine, and digital display ads around Winnipeg.
- C4 is an all ages family event! This year we are supporting our Local School Libraries to help them raise funds to buy more graphic novels and books for kids to read. Posters and handbills go to the schools so all the students know about our event!
- Our event also has great exposure on the internet. Currently if a person searches for “comic con” via Google, we will show up first on the 2nd page! With all the conventions out there, we have the top spot! Go ahead, test it out, and try searching for Sci-Fi Expo!
- Our theme for 2010 is Halloween! We’re looking forward to a wonderful year with a lot of top notch artists and guests that will surely please the fans.
- Gaming! We have the largest Gaming Event in Western Canada with 15,000sq. ft. of Gaming Space! Literally ALL kinds of games are played and we always have room for more Game Masters! If you would like to take part in the Gaming, please let us know!
