Lots of $5 Movie Joes at Walmarts of late. I saw Kamakura, Red Fang Ninja, Artic Storm Shadow, Arctic Snake Eyes, Sgt. Stone, a bunch more.

It depends on your interests

www.theforce.net is the really deep fansite. Probably the best place for discussions of the new TV series, the films and the EU.

www.snowtroopers.ca is Canadian and based most around the toylines.

www.rebelscum.com is pretty hardcore toywise, worldwide.

I hear it had its good points and its bad ones.

The catch is this. Look at the guest lineups for the other Wizard World Con's in the states. Toronto got shafted on the guest list really, so hopefully Wizard will beef that up next year for you guys. Dushku didn't show, Saite and Hudson are fine.....but then compare that to some of the Wizard USA cons that have William Shatner, Adam West, Burt Ward, Billy Dee Williams, Kelly Hu, so on.

They also apparently had big issues with bringing in their dealers from the USA, something they can hopefully fix in the future.

Wizard World is expanding big time on the Convention scene. They will likely be offering 4-5 Canadian events and upwards of 50 USA conventions within the next couple years.

I saw 1 or 2 Kamakura's, both at Zellers. The wave didn't seem to get a wide release.

Alex Milne, who is a comic artist who has worked on the G.I.Joe/Transformers crossovers for IDW will be at C4 again this year as well.

I saw these guys in Winnipeg on Sunday. Pretty neat actually. :)

Met some new G.I.joe collectors last Sunday. Lots of fun was had as just over 1300 people attended the toy show.

Now back to C4 news, :), the early guest list is going to start rolling out over the next few weeks. Thus far joining Ray Park we have artists Tommy Castillo, Marc Wolfe and Dave McCaig!

Stayed tuned as there is lots more to come including the announcement of an artist with a history of work on G.I.Joe!
