TRU at Victoria Park and Lawrence had 4 sets of each today (9am).  Looks like they got a restock.

For SW fans, the "Starfighter" vehicles are on sale again. ($19.97)  They have Grevious' starfighter and Anakin's modified starfighter on a top shelf.

My local TRU has re-stocked on these sets.  But the price has gone up.

Toys'R'US Kitchener had another large restock of these sets out this morning.  As mentioned by others the price has gone up to $16.99.

It makes no sense to raise the price of toys in this day and age. If anything they should lower the price. We are in the middle of probably the worst recession that has happened in my life time yet the cost of plastic army figures is going up? Gas is cheaper so they can't use that excuse this time.  It's moves like this that lead to "Deth of the Line!!!1!!!!"

TRU in London has dozens of the three packs (Air, Water, Destro/IG) but they are wiped clean of nearly everything else. Oddly some single carded Torpedos (which have been clogging up their shelf for over a month) were accompanied by two I'd never seen in the wild on Canadian backs: Spirit and Destro IG. Mostly their pegs are full of Torpedo and Bill whenever I go in there. No more CG packs either, nor vehicles. DVD packs 1 + 2 are still there but get those at Zellers obviously.

It's still decent.  Anytime I look at what I'm buying, I figure if it's any less than $9 per figure, it's worth it.  Single carded can tally up to $9 easily - and very quickly if you're buying off Ebay.

The most I have paid for a carded figure is 11.99 at a comic shop...and at that price I was scoring figures like the 84-style white Storm Shadow and red diver (on USA cards). The TRU packs are super-cheap, as are the extreme conditions sets but I am underwhelmed by the TRU sailor set. Torpedo in yellow? Why not have given him a new head and called him Wet Suit? And Cutter? Don't even get me started on what's wrong with this version...let's just say I was less than thrilled he is now somehow Gung Ho's twin brother. Oh and it took me ten minutes to get poor Deep Six's gear on correctly (his helmet was hopelessly misshapen).
