I have to book some time later next week to play the game or get use to a Playstation joystick.  I only play PC games.

Ah, I thought you were gonna do Stanley Cup style where the winner gets his name engraved on it each year.

But it looks cool!

We'll use a key and scratch it in.

Unfortunatley, this is one aspect of the meet I have 0 interest in. I think it's cool to see the custom joe characters, but past that,  it just doesn't do it for me.

Hope you all have fun with it though!

That's the spirit!!! If you can't beat 'em, back down.

Orrrrr... you can rent the game, learn how to play, and challenge your fellow JoeCanucks. You don't have to win to enjoy yourself. (or at least that's what Raptor's telling himself)

That would include renting a player, and finding time to play it. The rental part isn't so bad, but when you work min 12 hours a day, and have a 1 year old daughter, finding time to play video games just isn't going to happen.

For example, I *love* the game neverwinter nights. Love Love LOVE it. My wife has purchased the 2 expansion packs for me, the first one being 2 years ago now.

I still haven't finished the original game, and both expansions are still in the shrink wrap. Just no time.

So you see the predicament.

Holy crap Mike. That thing is huge. And here I thought you were going to spray paint a Goldburg figure gold and slap it on a hockey puck.

well I'm pretty sure there will be mercy from Mike now when he stops my character into the matt. Still, everyone loves an underdog...

For some reason I can imagine Mike letting the match drag on for 20 minutes, putting Morgardee through every table, every guardrail and busting several ladders on him.

Then out of nowhere, Morg hits his finisher and scores the pinfall.

I can see the first half of what you say happening, but I have a feeling the finish would be a little different.

I see Mike putting me thru 20 minutes of hell and then doing one of the Chris Jericho pins. You know, the one where he flexes with one foot on the body of the guy he just beat.

I say this because I just got my game in the mail today. I thought I'd give the game a spin so I played my favorite under dog, Steven Richards and thought Spike Dudley would be an easy win. Spike made me his bitch.

If I can't beat Spike Dudley, uh, smart money is on Mike for the Mike vs Morgardee match. Still, I'm not backing down. I want to face Mike in the first round of the tournament. Maybe I can get Raptor to throw a handful of white timbit frosting in his eyes or something.

Hey Raptor, wanna be my manager?  :shifty:

Morg,

Play the season mode. After a trip through the RAW season and a trip through the Smackdown season, you'll be a champ.

Take the Hurricane for a whirl, and you'll *feel* like a winner.

Set your game settings on EASY as well Dave.

Practice in two player mode to get the feel of the game.
Work on picking up weapons, climbing cages, etc.

Learn a character really well, and use him.

As for me kicking your ass for 20 mins - Jon's vision of what would happen is pretty close.... BUT.

I've been known to get EXTREMELY cocky when playing this... and when I do that, I often loose.

Heck, I was being cocky once in here when 5 of us were playing it.

Myself, two regular customers, a father, and his son - I got tossed out of the rumbnle by the son - he was 5.

I think Loop was here that day actually...

As for the trophy, everyone (around here) is thinking I'm gonna win it.

I have NO clue how good Beav is at this game, or most of you for that matter - the mere fact that Dave bought the game so he can learn it actually has me worried.... what is HE kicks MY ass for 20 mins?!

Then Mike, you'll have to admit that Goldberg is your daddy.
