Hello, I have not been around here very much lately but I hope some people will remember me.

I am selling my figures in lots.

Off Topic / Marvel Figures?
« on: October 08, 2007, 10:34:55 PM »
Hey guys, Happy Thanksgiving.

Just wondering if anyone knows what is going to be available for the new Marvel figures in Canada? There are some 2 packs coming that I know about, and some waves of Hasbro Marvel figures I haven't seen yet. And I have been out of the loop but wondering if anyone else has been keeping up with whats coming?

Well stay tuned to your local GT for the S6 Dragonhawk in the next while but that is about for GI Joe stuff. I don't see anything coming for PTE or 3-3/4 scale Joes.

Well so much for posting with some regularity since January.  ::)

There are a lot of new names around here. But I thought I could check in here and see how everyone was doing. I have been going through a dark ages with GI Joe. I can't remember the last time I bought some new Joe stuff. I can't remember the last time I was here or on Joecustoms. There seems to be a huge gap in Joe stuff that I can even remember wanting. The new stuff that is coming out, or may be out already, is nice but I don't expect it to come to Canada. I am tired of paying for shipping for all of my toys. I have been trying to keep up with Marvel Legends and can't even do that lately.

Also, after working for TRU for almost a year, I left, at the end of May. It was sad leaving. I wanted to work for them for so long, and then finding out that I did not like how they operated made it almost feel like finding out that Santa isn't real. Just a let down. Now I work for Giant Tiger. There is only one store in Calgary right now, but there are looking expand more store out West. They seem to be a better company to work for and are treating me well.

I think that is it for now, I can't think of much else to share.

How do you guys feel about the Giant Tiger stores? Do they have a good selection of toys? What else do they carry? Have you worked for them or know someone that has?

Well as much as I would like to go to the Joe meet, my procrastinating has made things too expensive, plus I just bought a new car which has all but killed any extra money's I might have for this thing. Have fun guys.

Yes, I still enjoy GI Joe. I would enjoy it much more if Hasbro would get their shit together, or had gotten their shit together in the last few years so that finding anything new was next to impossible.

I will keep you guys posted. Anyone able to find out those hotels Mike is talking about?

I'm in the planning stages of coming out to the meet. Where is a good cheap place to stay? Do you guys do anything the night before, should I come out for the night before or the day of the meet? Do you guys do anything in the day or so after the meet?

I would really like to come out. But I haven't bought anything GI Joe since I can't remember. My interest in getting any Joe stuff is next to nothing. The latest pictures from Toyfair make me really sad. Sigma Six stuff is garbage in my opinion. The 25th Anniversary figures can go down the toilet right after S6, in my opinion.

Wow those new figures went from amazing to shit in a blink of an eye. Probably the final nail in the coffin for me for collecting Joe stuff.

Yes I am seeing if I can get the week of April 15-21 off so I can come out for the meet. :)

You do know it's on April 14th right?..... the day before the week you want off. ;-)

Yes, I know its April 14. My tentative plan is to come out for that weekend and still have the next week off.  ;D
