Basically this is where we list all the confirmed varients that are out there for the G.I. Joe RAH 25th Anniversary figures. This will help a lot of us collectors with what exactly is, FOR SURE, out there.
-
Do you want a complete list of every known variant (including the addition of backpack holes) or just the major ones like Shipwreck's tatoos and paint deco changes like Stalker?
-
What about packaging variants?
Zartan, for example, has 3 different packaging versions.
-
Any and all as I think it would really make sense not only to keep all vareints to one thread but to help if anyone is buying off ebay as I've seen and heard of varients from everything like buzzer having a gotee to cobra commander having a holster on a different leg.
So I'll start...
Snake Eyes (wave 1) white timber

The Wave 4 Single card Storm Shadow has no bow in the package, just so you know.
-
Wow GREAT job Pete The Greek. Hasbro sure loves the variants lol
And no way to tell about the backpack hole/no back pack hole without opening the figures I take it?

I tried with the MOC ones have. I can't even see the back of the figure. Hence, you need to open the package.
-
You can probably tell by looking at the "stamp" on the back of the card. The five digit number. I personally can't tell you exactly when they started shipping with backpack holes but I assume they started with the Wave 3 revision cases. They will also have thicker card backs in most cases.
-
I spotted some wave 5 black SE with the "diaper" crotch on ebay if it can be counted as a variant.

See thats what I was thinking, that there must be some way such as digit numbers or other tell tale signs on the packageing or maybe front of the figure somehow.
-
We can also add "Shipwreck without anchor on belt buckle" to the list.
-
And fixed crotch Comic Pack Hawk along with Diaper crotch and Fixed crotch Snake Eyes and Diaper Snake Eyes from the comic Pack.
this is getting ridiculous.
-
The Shipwreck without the Anchor is in the Wave 5 assortment btw.

Oh come on. This is getting to be a excercise in bullshit 101 by Hasbro.

Yes I forgot to mention that part. Still a variant right?
-
Yes it is. That is why I no longer care about getting the varients. If I see them, great but I'm not trying or paying extra money for them. Besides, the only varient worth going after is the Snake Eyes with black Timber (IMO).
-
I kinda agree. At first it was fun with only a few variants per wave or what have you but now it's just insane.

updated the list
