Black Ice or Joe Canuck....

If anyone has one they are willing to part with, I have a decent trade pile and can always pony up cash if you'd rather sell.

Just a head's up, you aren't likely to get many takers on this. Both these figures are cherished partly because of the love and effort that Mike et al put into them, but also because of the time we shared together that they represent. I know these are both two of my highest prized figures, and even if I sold my collection down to the barest, these two would remain.

I have to agree, my Joe Canuck figure would be the last figure I would part with, simply because of the people/place and time invovled with this figure.

Someone that attended the Joe Meet where the Joe Canuck figure was available has sold it back to me.

So far, the plan is to raffle it off at the next Canadian Joe Meet (April 2007).

You'll HAVE to be there to win it. No other way possible.

The Black Ice WAS available for awhile on ebay - it sold for over $350.00.

So if someone 'needs' money and wants to sell theirs, then you'll get one.
Otherwise they're limited to 30, and all are spoken for.

Gotta agree with what everyone else has said. Both my Joe Canuck and Black Ice are front and center of my display shelves and I plan to make them family heirlooms.

Funny thing is I believe the MOC Joe Canuck was residing down in Texas for a while. Mike can correct me if I'm wrong on that.

There's a thread around here somewhere about that.

It never made it to Texas, and is currently sitting in the store here with me right now.
It will travel to every Joe Canuck Meet from now on.

That's about what I thought....it is the same way in trying to get a DeSimone Police Officer or Race Car Driver or a King Rat from Sacramento.

My problem is that I'm not in a situation where travel is possible for me, so I'm left with trying to acquire convention sets after the fact...and it can be tough.

Anyway, if anyone changes their minds, let me know...and happy collecting.

Dude, it's more of a cultural item than a G.I. Joe collectors item. Your collection will still be "complete" without one. They're just customs -heavily cherished customs, but customs nonetheless - for crying out loud.

You can draw your claws back in....I wanted one, and asked if anyone had one for sale - that's all. No need for "crying out loud" over it.

Don't mind Jon, we only let him kill one new member a year, and he's covered his quota for the next 2. ;-)

I figure if you were likely to get a hit anywhere on being able to get one, it would be here. No one blames you for trying.

Not at all.

You see, Jon is a very tall person - so sometimes the air runs a little thin up there and he can say things that don't make sense... we've grown to accept it. ;-) (kidding Jon!)

But, As Raps said, the best place for you to try was here - and as luck has it, there IS a JoeCanuck available, but it's only going to be available at the next Canadian Joe Meet as I stated. So.... you could fly up and try your chance to win one! ;-)

It would cost about the same I think.
