hey there,

the snail has some of hte new 25th anniversayr Joes agian (storm shadow, snake eyes & cobra commander) I snagged the last cobra officer.

They still have some of the older singles (mutt & spirit) and tonnes of the 6 packs. Plague troopers, bats pack (I think) and the cobra vipers. The have comic packs too still.

Their prices have a significant markup, hence the quantity of product.

Hey guys, just for future reference, what was the going price of the singles at the snail? Should they receive the following waves, I'd like to know if it's worth looking into.

the 5pack was going for 39.99 and the singles were going for $8.99

I have talked with some of the staff, and most likely they wont' get the wave1 figures in again,,,but they'll probably get the next wave sometime this month (most likely the end of the month)

I work around the corner and check it regularily and will let people know what/when things are in.

Hmm...though their prices are fair, with the dollar where it is it's probably worth it just to buy them on ebay or those online American toy stores. For a few dollars more you can have them shipped to your house without worrying about missing one or two of them. Of course it takes all the fun out of the hunt, but when you can only hunt at one or two stores it's not all that fun anyway. With my luck, I will buy them all online only to see tons of them on the pegs at Toys R Us later in the year...

ya it'll be good when all this 'needing to get every figure' hype cools down,,,and when they have a sale, I have seen there action figures go on sale for up to 40%.

That markup is not too bad.  One place I called in Edmonton has the 5 packs for $90, while the singles are listing for $35 each.  At those prices my e-bay dollars go a long way even with shipping.

In my ebay research so far I've found numerous sellers with very reasonable shipping. For a five figure wave shipping from pretty much anywhere in the US should not be more than $10. When you factor in buying five figures from say Silver Snail at $10.25 a piece ($8.99 +14% tax) the ebay prices look very good considering dollar parity.
