Canadian Exclusive Action Figures
« on: February 02, 2011, 12:19:26 PM »

I have only recently started to collect the 3 3/4 inch Joes,
and would love to have any of the CanCon exclusive
figures if anyone is selling.
Please let me if you are, how much you want, and
where you live.

Thanks
Dale

When you say "3 3/4 inch", do you also mean the recent non o-ring canadian exclusives?

Point taken

The 80's figures had rubber bands, hence the expression "O-ring".

The newer figures (25th anniversary, rise of Cobra, pursuit) don't have o-rings.

When you say you would love to have any of the canjoecon exclusive figures, does that mean both types of figures? The 2009 and 2010 conventions offered figures that were made of newer figure parts (therefore no o-ring)

Thanks for the info about the difference in figures.
Sadly, I have seen the asking prices of the Canadian
exclusive figures, and there is no way I can afford them.
I'm handicapped and haven't been able to work for
2 years now, so we have to live on my wives income
alone. As a result, we had to claim bankruptcy last Dec,
and we are just trying to rebuild.

Sorry to hear about that, good luck with the rebuild.    Since those figure were made in such a limited run (20 figs only) most of us with our novice skills have built our own versions.  At the CJC you will find Bins and Bins and Bins of figures that are super cheap!  Just make you own and paint it.

Well, I have never even done any painting in my life,
but I certainly have time on my hands to at least
give it a try. Who knows, I might become a custom
master eh?

the JC figure doesn't need much painting. the hard part's the head!

i'm sorely tempted to buy the White Out/Big Ben two-pack and make my own... I wonder whether to use a Frostbite or Windchill head...

And that there is why making Joe Canuck is a problem. The head used was custom made by Joe Canucks very own Loop.  :loop:
