Start checking your TRUs! I just picked up the VAMP, HISS and RAM/TB sets (already had the Armadillo set)...they were just going on the shelf. $21.99 at the St. Catharines TRU
-
Hmm. I just got mine from BBTS (nice coincidence). All things considered (exchange/duties) I paid about the same price without the headache of tracking them down (I never have any luck with finding these things at retail). It is really nice to know that we are getting them though as I will no doubt pick up one or two for my little brother should I come across them. If only we were getting the Rattler and X-30 here...
-
thank you thank you thank you for the heads up!
Went to Wal*Mart this morning around 9:45 am - nothing
TRU opened at 10 am and I was like a nerd speed-walking to the action figure section. Arrived and saw a couple wave 7 figures - that blasted Wild Bill haunts me everywhere!
Then the TRU kid shows up with two giant cases of vehicles, and another guy dropped by with his trolley looking for vehicles too. Anyways, today was a good day:

you didn't get Serpentor? Was it not there or are you just not a fan?
-
not a fan of the Armadillo or Serpentor (mostly because of how ridiculous the 25A Serpy looks on his '86 air chariot mold).
But I love Tele-Vipers!
-
TRU Kitchener had Vehicles in stock as well. As of this morning it looked like everyone was there. I Snagged a HISS Tank just for giggles.
Thanks for the heads up.
-
Soonest I can get to a Toys R Us is tomorrow... I'm hoping that there will be a few there *Fingers Crossed*
-
My local TRU HAD a case today, until I showed up.

Funny, we're the exact opposite then...I think the Wave 2 Serpentor looks killer on the "new" Air Chariot (but NOT the Serpentor actually included with the set..No cape? what were they thinking?!?) And I don't like the 25th Tele-Viper. Maybe I'll change my mind eventually ;D
I'm glad these are showing up, hope everyone can get what they want!

Yeah the TV isn't accurate to his original '85 mold, but he's one more figure that fills out my class of '85 (favourite year!) in 25A sculpt.
As for Serpy and his air chariot...I dont think this looks too flattering:

Must...resist.. going...
-
The Serpentor in the vehicle set is a useless repaint of the first 25th released. But it doesn't have that flesh tone appearance like the one Bandy shows in that picture. I rather have that the one re-issued so far.
Ed, resistance is futile. The minute you see the VAMP, you are getting it without any hesitation.
-
seriously dont resist, these 25A vehicles are awesome and worth "buying again" even if you've already got the ARAH counterparts.
The VAMP is sweet, hood opens, shovel pops out, and I'm loving the HISS - very classic - crystal clear canopy
-
Nuts. I was going to go to Toys R Us today but didn't make it. Well, I know where I'll be tomorrow morning.
I can't even afford to buy this stuff anymore yet I'm going back for more.
-
You know, the kid in me wants a Vamp.
Like... really bad.

I know what you mean :(
I almost hope that I don't find them, so as not to be tempted. Almost.
-
Got VAMP and Armadillo/Chariot at TRU London.
And no, I can't afford this either. Not with comics starting to get good again.
-
haha, good to hear I'm not the only one wasting cash on this hobby.. ;D
Bandalero, I have my caped Serpentor standing straight up on the chariot...looks great even if it doesn't make sense. But neither does a living simulacrum comprised of DNA remnants from history's greatest despots and tyrants :cobra:
-
I picked up everything except for the Ram / Flight pod set as they were sold out of that one. Looks like the Vamp was the slepper of the case as there was 3 of those when I got there and only 1 Hiss tank and 2 Serpentor / Steeler sets. Funny thing is the best made set is the Vamp set. Clutch is pretty well made and the Vamp blows away the other vehicles sets.
It's cool to army build and buy Cobra stuff but so far the Vamp is the best of the 3 sets I have IMHO.
-
I have to agree, the new VAMP is awesome compared to the other vehicles. The only unfortunate thing for me is that it only holds two figures. Otherwise the fun value of this toy far exceeds the others.
-
Well, today, I am a happy camper. I went into Ottawa and stopped by the Toys R Us - They had a lot out! I saved some money and only picked up the Vamp and HISS, for now. I figured that I'd eventually see them again and can get the other two sets later.
They had two HISS out, three or so Vamps, and a good half dozen of the other sets. No carded figures, but plenty of vehicles. That totally made my day... I'll be good for a while!
And man, is the Vamp ever nice. They did a really good job on it. The HISS seems like the same old design, but still sharp looking - if I see another and can spare the coin, I might "army build", if you can call a pair, an army :P
-
Well, you guys convinced me so I went to TRU this am...
SOLD OUT.
*sigh*
-
I popped by the one in Ottawa again today and saw a bunch there... I picked up the rest of the collection plus a HISS Tank. They had one HISS and two Vamps left after I was through there.
-
I just got back from the states and I picked up the vehicles there at Target for $14.99 - they are Great. The Vamp is the best of the bunch followed by the RAM.
-
I found a couple of wave 1 vehicles @ Wal~Mart today. The price is a little better there, $19.92. There was a HISS Tank and an Armadillo set still there (Sunrise Center) when I left.
-
How well does the new Trouble Bubble hold together?

Man, I was just there yesterday and they had nothing.
Good to know they are showing up.

How well does the new Trouble Bubble hold together?
Mine seems fine, though I haven't given it much of a test.

LOL, isn't that always the case!? :)
-
Mine looks good. Funny thing to admit but I was playing with it for a few mins after I put it together. In fact, I had all the vehicles on the table putting stickers on and they were waiting for "display life" of the shelf and I just sorta picked up the trouble bubble and started to make the "whoooosh" sounds and the next thing I knew I had about 5 mins of battle going on.
No toy has made me do that in years. I sorta figured I would wait for my son to "play again" but the trouble bubble (something I never owned as a kid) did it for me.
Good times.
BTW, mine is holding together fine.
-
These showed up at Zellers over the weekend. 1 case per store, 19.99 each. Didn't pick any up, but I was tempted by the ram vs trouble bubble.

Which Zellers is that? The toy aisle in my local store is completely empty of anything interesting.
-
No TRU. No Walmart. No Zellers.
The toy gods are not wanting me to get these sets.
-
OMG! I just got to this thread today, I had no clue that these vehicles made it to Canada.. I'm freaking out.. I'll be making a toy run tonight for sure.
Funny thing was I was just in Port Huron last weekend searching Target for these vehicles, and I could only find a Hiss Tank and ended up passing it. Although I did manage to pick up the Weather Dominator DVD set, so I was happy with that.
Hope I find something tonight!
-
When I say Zellers, I mean the one at stone rd. in Guelph. It's pretty much connected to the building that I work at by a parking lot, so checking it doesn't waste any gas.
Note that it was only one case, one of each of the four packs. Almost picked up the touble bubble one, but I passed. I have no room for vehicles that aren't named firebat.

Success!
Went to TRU last night, at first couldn't find anything GI Joe. My wife notice a lady stocking the shelves. As a rule I don't usually bother asking these people because they just usually look at the shelves and say if it isn't there we don't have it.
Anyways my wife asked the lady for me, and to my surprise, she got up and said that she thought she had just received a shipment of Joe vehicles. 5 minutes later the lady came back with a fresh case of Joe vehicles. I picked up both the Ram/Flight pod and Vamp. I left the Hiss and Serpentor Combo, as I could have got these over the weekend in the states for $14.99, and it didn't seem like much of a deal to pay $22.99.
So I'm happy. However I'm gonna go check a few Zellers now, as it was mentioned that they were selling the vehicles for 19.99.. wouldn't mind saving the few extra dollars!
Good Luck to everyone, and I just wanted to Thank everyone for the info in this thread, I thought it was only possible to get the vehicles I wanted on my monthly states run.. I'm so happy!
-
Yep, Zellers scanned them up at 19.99. I think that's the first time that Zellers has ever been the cheapest on anything.

Picked up the Armadillo/Air Chariot set at Zellers at the Seaway mall (Welland). They had the Hiss and Flight Pod/Ram cycle left.
